For a few days, I've been trying to find time and figure out with all these petaflops, zettaflops, supercomputers, etc. Finally, I found all the answers I had.
Thank you for the clear explanation, and good examples.

Computers can only "predict" the future by knowing as much as possible about the past then "knowing" calculating where it will "go" next.

I got to say that your videos are extremely well articulated, especially the formatting of them. The way you explain what the concept is first, then give examples of it throughout history and then finally relating it to the current topic is almost like the perfect essay. Super appreciate it.

The Old Adage "BullShit IN = BullShit OUT" applies to SuperComputers so just because a bunch of data points were processed, doesn't mean the result is anywhere near accurate.

Even though an ordinary PC does not consist of just a single processor core anymore (3:20), but rather 8 cores or more (and even more if the GPU cores are taken into consideration), the main difference is that most software on PCs does not utilize the ability of multiprocessing. HPC on expensive supercomputers, on the other hand, run software that is highly parallelized. This is because professionals or academics renting CPU time simply cannot afford not to do that :)

Infrastructure based on DNA recognition could really help to understand where humans are, which humans and how to know their state of health in real time, relations to families and order in them, who are in bad conditions and who in good conditions, how to change everything for better

So, ask the supercomputer this: 1. solve for pi if you have 3.14 overlapping circles who are each in wiggly motion? 2. Solve for pi if you have 314 overlapping circles when each one shrinks and expands continuously but they never stop overlapping.

_@The Tesla Space_ -- This video gets a BIG THUMBS DOWN!!! Your videos are usually good. But this one is horrible because it is filled with so many errors. Almost all CPUs have been using parallel processing for decades (like super computers). This includes all PCs, gaming systems, even smart phones. And PCs actually can be scaled to "super computer" capability. And computer games do require similar parallel processing as super computers. The two SLI (parallel) nVidia GPUs in my PC each have thousands of parallel processors inside their GPUs and computer games require this to do the physics, vector calculations and photo-realistic rendering required. One of my nVidia GPUs is dedicated just to physics processing during gaming. And, when I'm using my Adobe software to edit photos, videos or audio, that GPU with thousands of parallel processors serves as a powerful accelerator for these program. In fact, that fastest-in-the-world Frontier super computer you featured was scaled from PC GPUs from AMD. If PC tech didn't scale so well, why do you think that X-Box you showed is so much more powerful today than a super computer 20 years ago?! Why did X-Box need all that power? Gaming!!! Your presentation about computer *models* is laughable. The size or speed or throughput of a super computer is way, way, way less important than the software model, itself, that you run on it. All software engineers and the scientists/physicists/mathematicians behind them make assumptions and simplifications with their models, often based on their own bias. More petaflops and more decimal places does NOT equal more accuracy. I could go on and on, but it isn't worth my time. You seem to seldom learn from your mistakes or read messages that point them out. I know because I've seen you repeat the same mistakes over and over on your _The Space Race_ TH-cam account even though the mistakes are reported multiple times. VIEWER BEWARE!
