I can't confirm it as a general rule, but it seems to be related with the fear of death and stress from job? Like, the older they get, the more they like to belive that there is something more, that life and what they had experienced is not just that. And it saddens me. I suggest to reach to a reliable family member (the closer to her the better since they can feel more secure) and go to a neurologist. And tell EVERY change the person experiences. I know how it feels and I wish you luck. Something that could help is distracting her with activities and meeting people.
Please don't ignore symptoms. Dementia may not be curable but it can be helped. Schizophrenia can be treated if caught early and combatted by healthy thinking.

She believes that the Brent Spiner that married Loree Mcbride is a Jesuit clone and that the real Brent Spiner is both madly in love with her and aboard her spaceship. The video explains this and more fairly well, what it doesn't go into is that she believes the medication she's on for her condition is actually for a yeast infection and that she has done things that could harm her because of this in the past, in one particular video she ventures out into a goddamn monsoon.
