    Tbh, the Chad Meeks being alive thing made me laugh out loud because he got wheeled in at the end of Scream 5 and then here he comes again getting wheeled in. He's got that pre Scream 5 Dewey magic.

    It’s nice that Roger Jackson is finally getting more recognition for the amazing Ghost face voice and how much impact it actually has had on the entire Scream franchise. I feel like up to recently it was more of a “movie trivia” fact that he does the voice rather then actually praising how good he is at giving the voice so much life and character.

    • @TheReviewerFilms

      i especially love that Roger has been upgraded in the credits and gets put in with the main cast during the picture part of the credits and he's earned it he's been in the most scream content down to even the shitty 3rd season of the tv series

    One of the main reasons these new screams are doing so well is that every decision made feels like it naturally belongs in this world. Like Sam being Billy’s kid out of nowhere worked because Sid wasn’t having sex at that time so of course Billy would go out and cheat.

    • @Nexol13
      @Nexol13 ปีที่แล้ว +46

      Nah, Billy being revealed as a cheater was one of the many things that took me out of Scream 5. He killed Sidney’s mother for breaking up her family and turning her father into a cheater, so why the hell would he cheat himself? Sidney wasn’t putting out, yes, but Billy in the first film felt far too cold and calculating to let his junk do the thinking for him. Not to mention, Sam’s mom was with Tara’s dad at the time, so Billy was making them both into cheaters, which is something I feel that he wouldn’t do.

      @@Nexol13 fun fact he also dressed up and slashed all his friends so… maybe fair to assume he’s not making the most logical decisions?

    • @Nexol13
      @Nexol13 ปีที่แล้ว +26

      @@krhodes866 Every character operates by their own internal logic, especially the psychotic ones. Billy’s was well-established in the first Scream film. The fifth film made a creative choice that undermined it so they could justify the main character’s existence. Simple as that.
      I can accept him cheating in the same way I can accept Voldemort having a child: is it impossible? No. Highly improbable given what we know about him? Yes. In both cases it came off as little more than fan-fiction tropes used to justify the sequel’s existence. I do feel the need to say that, despite all of this, I do like Sam as a character. She’s been given a lot of room to grow (and she definitely has) over the last two films.

Because if they ever attempt to call the police on the ghostface it would be out in the middle of nowhere just like original scream. “They wouldnt get here in time, we’re out in the middle of nowhere”, but then again. Id love to see it only be the corefour and have ghostface win in the end, a murder mystery if you will. • @jonaskeller6399
      @jonaskeller6399 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, I mean, they really didn't. They said Jack Champion was in the costume during the first tiny part of that scene. But that doesn't mean his character is behind the mask. In the original, Skeet Ulrich was in the costume for a scene in which Stu was ghostface.
      I'm torn about who it is. But if these killers weren't absolute morons, then they wouldn't have squandered the opportunity to give Ethan - certainly the main suspect after all his friends dropped dead - an airtight alibi for as many murders as possible. So I mostly do believe that Ethan was in class and probably making sure people noticed him there, too. Then again, some of the ghostface behavior seems more in line with Ethan than Bailey - but as they said, they didn't really adjust ghostface behavior to the specific killer, so I'm still going with Bailey.
      Sorry if I restarted your headache.

    No word of a lie, seeing Scream 6 with two of my buddies reminded me why horror movies in the cinema are MAGICAL. It's the perfect movie for it. We could hear the people around us gasping, we could see them clutching at each other and jumping, and we couldn't help grabbing each other and trying to be quiet while we muttered "No no no no no' at the screen. People cheered when legacy characters reappeared and there was a moment towards the end where the whole theater broke into applause.
    When one of our buddies was late, we kept anxiously looking at each other and saying "We can't miss the opening kill, man!" and then the movie paid off that moment in SPADES.
    I think watching Scream 6 is the first time since the lockdowns started that I felt like a part of the horror *community* again.

    This is by far my favorite franchise of all time, and I couldn't be happier to have Radio Silence at the helm taking the wheel from Wes. I can't think of a better team to continue the legacy. Wes is proud for sure. Scream 6 is definitely my favorite sequel, and that's really saying something being 6 movies in and over 20 years deep into a franchise. Scream 6 blew my mind at least 3 times, and brought such a refreshing feeling to the franchise. And this movie is made even better after watching (in my opinion) the very poorly executed conclusion to the new Halloween trilogy. Thank you Radio Silence for making 2 new amazing Scream movies, I have no doubt you'll pull off Scream 7 if (or when) it gets made!

    I love this movie so much, it's my new number 2 in my Scream franchise ranking. It has the best opening scene since the original AND the best 3rd act since the original in my opinion. The Gale appartment chase scene is also my new favourite chase scene, Gale hitting ghostface in the ghost-face with a frying pan was absolutely glorious. The phone calls we're fantastic and finally seeing two ghostfaces in costume simultaneously was so satisfying and the stabbing and double knife wipe that followed it were probably my favourite moment in the entire movie. This movie also argueably has the most graphic and violent kills in the entire franchise. The meta aspect was also really well done once again and all the actors delivered great performences. This movie rules and i can't wait for Scream 7 to be announced.

    I love that "Risk it All" mentality and I hope they're inspired to take even bigger risks for the end of the trilogy. I think the universal consensus for Scream VI is that the movie excels up until the third act where it feels like it retreats to safety a bit too much. I get WHY it felt the need to retreat to safety in production, but I don't think it worked well especially with the excessive fake outs. I really really hope the reception to VI inspires them to just go all out in breaking new ground, and really just be fearless and bold.
    Especially since you can't botch the end of a trilogy as hard as the OG team did.

      Your girlfriend must have been lost too if this was the first one she saw.

    Melissa's (Billy Act) was one of the best things in scream 5, Richie is starting to become the multi layered Onion in the 6th entry ,liking Richie so much more because of 6s story

    Please have RLJ be in the Kill Count for Scream VI. It's just too perfect having him do it.

    It's been a day since I've seen it and all I can think about is that ladder scene. Probably my favorite sequence in the entire franchise and one of my favorites in horror history, the tension mixed with emotion was just wild

    I think it would be cool if the killer in a potential scream 7 went after all scream survivors so we could see Kirby and Gale again, Sidney, Mark, and maybe even Joel.
