A little correction to 7:22 : Buzz Kill does not increase the Slash proc chance to over 70%. With Buzz Kill slash damage increases to 220 (100 base times 2.2 because of 120% bonus) and puncture and impact stay at 100 each. That makes slash status chance 220/(220+100+100)=0.524=52.4%. In addition, Carnis Mandible is a little better choice than Buzz Kill dps wise with a lower drain as well. Let me do the math rq: Weeping Wounds gives 440% SC at 12x combo, Whipclaw base SC is 20%. The chance for a status effect to be slash with Buzz Kill is 52.4% (see above), with Carnis Mandible 48.7% (90% slash bonus, 190/390=0.487). Carnis Mandible however adds 60% SC on top of Weeping Wounds to a total bonus of 500%. So in total, slash status chance per hit: Buzz Kill: 20% x 5.4 x 52.4% = 56.6% Carnis Mandible: 20% x 6 x 48.7% = 58.4% At lower combo, Carnis Mandible‘s advantage gets amplified of course.

@TheDarkAngelcdb your have plenty energy so the few enemies that survive isn't a huge deal, but you could also just build the elements of the factions per mission if it's that big a deal
I usually don't like shield-gate builds because many of them encourage you to spam, or worse yet subsume saryn's molt, more often than not sacrificing the things that make a frame fun or unique in order to get invincibility that really doesn't matter in 95% of content. In this case however, spamming whipclaw on Khora is basically just how you normally play her, so I actually like this one for giving khora survivability which she desperately needs without impacting her gameplay whatsoever. So honestly, kudos, this is the first shield-gate build I've seen that I approve of.
I'm going to try your build, thanks! I have a Khora Prime that I haven't touched out of laziness and my regular Khora has always done just fine but it's time to do good SP build with more offense and survivability.

U can add unranked shield mod to venari which will let her shield gate aswell and also the electricity 60/60 mod on her which allows u to proc archon stretch for extra energy. :)
I use the regular single Kama as a stat stick bc I have a +300% crit chance +220% slash -cc for slide attack, could be better but I can't complain plus I got it for cheap since it's one of the least used weapons in the game so it has one of the highest dispos for melee weapons
Citrine's first ability is more likely to make enemies drop health without the need to use a primer, and it's her helminth. You might want to try that out.
The difference though is that you need to be recasting that ability alot instead of just using Lycath's once and then shooting your cedo every 45 seconds.
I was able to run a 40 minute Ani Steel Path Survival with the build. I installed a Lua Lens onto just the frame and maxed out my daily cap of 340k in about 3 runs. Pretty viable for farming focus

I’ve reached the point where I can do SP, but find the enemies to be massively overpowered from what base path has. Also did you do a Archon 1-shot build with Ivara? I think so, but can’t seem to find it.

I am not convinced. No matter what I try, the mission start is not possible with naramon. I spawn with eneough energy for 2 whipclaws or a single ensnare. Since i cant oneshot with wc, I have to hope that in the initial batch caught by ensnare one energy orb drops and arcane energize procs. With this low efficiency, I cant use lycaths hunt from the start to generate energy. Also, sometimes both companions die and then no more energy through equilibrium. I want to see a full run of this khora builöd on Mot from start to finish

What are we bringing Blind Rage for? Aren't most builds focused on low ability strength because of Accumulating Whipclaw? Or is it for the drop in efficiency for shield gating with skill 1?
You need to farm a 2nd Voruna she is Steel path worthy best melle frame in game , I just finished a 3 hour SP survival with her and only came out cause I got bored, fantastic Frame.

Why not scarificial pressure instead of primed? The base power of scrificial may be weaker, but when on with scrificial steel the bonus makes it stronger

My build is identical, but with Combat Discipline paired with Arcane Avenger and Molt Reconstruct. Molt Reconstruct to repair damage by CD, and CD to proc arcane avenger. It works great! Lmk what you think.
hey Kyali, I'm currently building my khora prime and I have a riven mod that gives +133.1 crit dmg, + 279.8 meele dmg, and -71.2 puncture. I've been trying to figure out what mod I should replace in your slash build with that mod, currently I have sacrificial steel removed but I feel like because of the reduced crit chance I do no damage. I gathered all mods except primed pressure point and now, i was wondering which melee i should put them on ( i'm new, don't have access to the zariman, and even less to the reputation and points needed for the one you recommend). Scattering the net, i found 15 different answers, it's confusing and i have no clue wich one i should use
My only question is how does should gate work? I have the exact build even with the dragon key I noticed was equipped and I'm getting 1 shot by a lvl 55 in practice as soon as my shields are out. I'm spamming 1 but die immediately after my shield is gone
Shield gating gives you about 1 second of invulnerability if you have full shield when you take damage, but if you don’t fill up your whole shield, you’ll get blown up

I've been trying to figure out how to set up Khora for late game Steel Path Circuit to help with the incarnon farm. Any advice on how to mod this build for that use? Or perhaps there's an upcoming video on how you'd go about getting the most out of Khora when you can't be sure what primary/secondary/melee you'll draw and you have no standard companion? (Of course she still gets her own that's part of her kit). Anyway, thanks for the vid :)
Khora isn't good for circuit cause the melees need a specific build to be good and this build specifically DOES NOT WORK in circuit due to lack of companion

Hello kyaii , im currently running khora prime with gara's spectrosiphon for energy sustain and its pretty good but i have trouble in the beginning of the solo SP trying to get the energy up and going, if unlucky i will have 0 energy.I do not have voruna to subsume her yet so.. Do u have any suggestions to prevent this from happening ? Also died alot why trying to "get the energy going" on solo SP which is really annoying

Would you recommend slash or corrosive for grineer on steel path? I mainly run the corrosive one but it seems to be inconsistent in damage against some troopers. I also use a riven that has impact, does that lower my damage against grineer?
The only problem i have is energy problem when i'm in a group of 4 people. Somehow i cannot get enough energy drops. Do you have workarounds on that? How about switching Blind rage with Transient fortitude and use shards for strength?
I'm running into a massive energy problem with this build. I have my setup exactly as yours. Only difference is the level of some mods. I'm also not coming close to red crits. Only yellow. Any tips?
Blood rush and other chc mods will get you to orange crits. In regards to energy you have to have synth fiber on your companion and equilibrium with lycaths hunt and then energy is effectively infinite
Is the riven whats getting you red crits here because once im stacked i get only oranges. Although for my current purposes oranges one shot basically everything
I'm not using the helminth so i left out blind rage for range, but what archon shards do you recommend besides the blue ones ? crit rate, crit dmg or Power strength?
It's been doing fine though (yes in steel path), it's the exact same just not the helminth and what i mentioned before. i'm also not a 2 HR+ endurance runner.
Never was a fun of melee in warframe and building combo feels like ass tbh. At least once I figure it out, I will have learned something new about the game! UPD: yeah, I figured it. At the start, you build combo meter up until at least 8 with 2 and a melee weapon. Admittedly, this only works on steel path or deeper into endless missionss, where your allies won't blast everything while you're building the meter.
Hey i was wondering, if i dont need the pilfering strangle dome. and instead swapped it over with archon flow, and then put a cold mod into my stat stick. would that trigger the extra chance for energy orbs and if so would that change the dynamic with not needing the voruna subsyme?

Idk if you've figured it out yet, but no with primary and secondary dex as well as naramon focus school for slower mission types like defense, your combo upkeep should be extremely comfortable
I've got this build up and running (the only differences is I don't have the tek mods for my cat, and no archon shards so I'm using the flow version, not pilfering, and I can't kill anything. It takes 3-4 whip cracks to kill a single enemy, if not more, and thats just not sustainable early. Once the combo builds up it's better, but not good damage. I'm struggling a lot more vs grineer than corpus so I think the issue is armor? We don't have any strip so I don't really know what to do here.
@@kyaii I think the issue must be combo related. My mods are the exact same as the ones shown, do you have to build combo points before using the whip or something? I can't stay alive without spamming whip, and I can't spam whip if things aren't dying. I'll go through the video again and see if I missed something but I'm just confused
OK let me try and ask a more useful question since I think I understand. I'm new at playing melee builds so apologies for the many questions. How do you survive and build that combo before pulling out the whip so you can sustain? I assume you build it with your melee weapon stat stick, but I have trouble surviving to do that, the only defence Khora seems to have is shield gating and if we're not casting whip claw, how are we gating? @@kyaii
@@kyaii the only things I'm technically missing are Primed Pressure Point, the specific Archon shards and Primed Sure Footed (using handspring RN). I have 2 crimson and 2 azure shards, non Tau forged.
Idk bro, i literally test it a minutes ago in simulacrum, all fine with the corrosive build ty for that, but when i test the slash build whipclaw, all kills from slash procs never drop the heal orbs from lycans hunt.
Alternatively, you can always spend some time on trade chat. It's how I bought Hildryn the day she came out. The odd mod here and there, 10 Plat each adds up faster than you realize. Rivens are a way harder sell, than just mods or relics.

Arcane blessing is also a good option for some tankiness

What secondary would you recommend with the build? Epitaph for more priming? or just whatever we feel like?

Since it doesn't have chc you may want to swap spoiled or organ shatter since you need the chc of sacrificial

Look for a riven mod that has a 5 disposition. Use that weapon and follow the video build.

Hello kyaii , im currently running khora prime with gara's spectrosiphon for energy sustain and its pretty good but i have trouble in the beginning of the solo SP trying to get the energy up and going, if unlucky i will have 0 energy.I do not have voruna to subsume her yet so.. Do u have any suggestions to prevent this from happening ? Also died alot why trying to "get the energy going" on solo SP which is really annoying

i used a level 1 khora with a slash proc nikana prime and i leveled her from 1 to 30 in 25 min and got 7 argon lol on orokin survival 40-60

Would you recommend slash or corrosive for grineer on steel path? I mainly run the corrosive one but it seems to be inconsistent in damage against some troopers.
I also use a riven that has impact, does that lower my damage against grineer?

The only problem i have is energy problem when i'm in a group of 4 people. Somehow i cannot get enough energy drops. Do you have workarounds on that? How about switching Blind rage with Transient fortitude and use shards for strength?
You could do that but I didn't wanna show something that required shards to function.
what mod would i swap out for a riven ? on the corrosive build. its a zaw riven with crit chance and flat melee %
I'm running into a massive energy problem with this build. I have my setup exactly as yours. Only difference is the level of some mods. I'm also not coming close to red crits. Only yellow. Any tips?
Blood rush and other chc mods will get you to orange crits. In regards to energy you have to have synth fiber on your companion and equilibrium with lycaths hunt and then energy is effectively infinite
Why blind rage? Not more reach? Makes her 4 larger, 1 larger and 2 larger...

Without the Riven you should be getting oranges with some reds.

I'm not using the helminth so i left out blind rage for range, but what archon shards do you recommend besides the blue ones ? crit rate, crit dmg or Power strength?
this build doesn't work w/o lycaths on Steel Path very well
It's been doing fine though (yes in steel path), it's the exact same just not the helminth and what i mentioned before. i'm also not a 2 HR+ endurance runner.
Never was a fun of melee in warframe and building combo feels like ass tbh. At least once I figure it out, I will have learned something new about the game!
UPD: yeah, I figured it. At the start, you build combo meter up until at least 8 with 2 and a melee weapon. Admittedly, this only works on steel path or deeper into endless missionss, where your allies won't blast everything while you're building the meter.

Hey i was wondering, if i dont need the pilfering strangle dome. and instead swapped it over with archon flow, and then put a cold mod into my stat stick. would that trigger the extra chance for energy orbs and if so would that change the dynamic with not needing the voruna subsyme?
absolutely not, that mod has a 10 second cool down and khoras whip with cold is not good

Idk if you've figured it out yet, but no with primary and secondary dex as well as naramon focus school for slower mission types like defense, your combo upkeep should be extremely comfortable

I've got this build up and running (the only differences is I don't have the tek mods for my cat, and no archon shards so I'm using the flow version, not pilfering, and I can't kill anything. It takes 3-4 whip cracks to kill a single enemy, if not more, and thats just not sustainable early. Once the combo builds up it's better, but not good damage. I'm struggling a lot more vs grineer than corpus so I think the issue is armor? We don't have any strip so I don't really know what to do here.
As shown in video, works perfectly fine against em, idk what your doing wrong besides your mods being low rank
@@kyaii I think the issue must be combo related. My mods are the exact same as the ones shown, do you have to build combo points before using the whip or something? I can't stay alive without spamming whip, and I can't spam whip if things aren't dying. I'll go through the video again and see if I missed something but I'm just confused
You need to build up max accumulating whipclaw stacks and be at 12x combo
OK let me try and ask a more useful question since I think I understand. I'm new at playing melee builds so apologies for the many questions.
How do you survive and build that combo before pulling out the whip so you can sustain? I assume you build it with your melee weapon stat stick, but I have trouble surviving to do that, the only defence Khora seems to have is shield gating and if we're not casting whip claw, how are we gating?

I just cast Ensnare at the start of a mission, wack them all with my Stat stick and then I'm good to go

I would say it's the goal mod. Anything defensive until you get the rolling guard. You'll definitely want it for steel path.

you don't want to proc corrosive, your using it for its +damage not the actual status proc

Idk bro, i literally test it a minutes ago in simulacrum, all fine with the corrosive build ty for that, but when i test the slash build whipclaw, all kills from slash procs never drop the heal orbs from lycans hunt.

Alternatively, you can always spend some time on trade chat. It's how I bought Hildryn the day she came out. The odd mod here and there, 10 Plat each adds up faster than you realize. Rivens are a way harder sell, than just mods or relics.
