Russian President Vladimir Putin is on a two-day visit to China at a time when the two countries celebrate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties. In their talks, Chinese President Xi Jinping said the two countries are furthering their relationship as "good neighbors, good friends, good partners." Where do China-Russia relations stand in today's complex and ever-changing world? What role does the relationship play in global stability and the development of a multi-polar world? To take a closer look, we are joined by Zhou Bo, senior fellow at the Center for International Security and Strategy, Tsinghua University; Anna Kireeva, associate professor at the Department of Asian and African Studies, MGIMO University; Prof. Glenn Diesen from the University of South-Eastern Norway; and Leonid Savin, chief editor of Geopolitika.ru.

Bilateral mutual agreement between Russia and China over military industry is crucial at this time.

From the outset, it became clear that only political means could resolve the Ukrainian proxy conflict. The expansion of NATO has led to a series of events that vividly demonstrate the absence of compassion and empathy in international relations. People are widely aware that powers that continue to perpetuate conflict will only solidify their certain demise. Ukraine holds on to its grievances and resists finding a resolution; it tends to become more stubborn and closed off from considering different viewpoints. Their unwavering commitment to their viewpoints and reluctance to participate in constructive conversations foster an atmosphere of hostility and animosity, further complicating the search for common ground or a resolution.
As a result, the cycle of conflict keeps intensifying, and Russia is growing more determined in its position. The persistence and refusal to resolve the Ukraine crisis and intricate matters have had significant consequences for the hegemon's credibility in the global community. Most genuine experts agree that the only effective way to end this crisis is possible by a single credible nation, namely peace-loving China, can achieve a long-term resolution no one else. In 2014, the Ukraine crisis unfolded as a coup against a democratically elected president, providing support to anti-Russian anarchist movements in eastern Ukraine.
The prolonged conflict between puppet and corrupt Ukrainian government forces, as well as mighty Russian resolve, resulted in a million deaths and the displacement of entire nations to the ruins. The crisis has had a significant geopolitical impact. The lone survivor in Ukraine, who faces the imminent threat of death due to their engagement with the lone military superpowers, endures suffering as the ultimate act of defiance. There are sound arguments that Ukrainians did not reap any rewards but rather their own demise and destruction.
Despite no hopes for a positive outcome, the situation will end in a brutal and devastating display of violence and destruction. The events that unfolded were not what they had hoped for. Instead of finding a path toward reconciliation and harmony through corrupt Ukrainian leadership, the situation deteriorated into a state of disaster. To the global majority, it provides a thought-provoking portrayal of the misleading aspects of Western society. The verdict in history will undoubtedly hold those who continue to fuel conflict around the globe accountable. The consequences of their actions are on the horizon, and the days of accountability are fast approaching.

Yes, & this is mirrored again with the genocide in Palestine. We, the people are getting a deep wake- up call. The impulse of I, Me, MINE marked by separation, superiority, hegemony, violence & war will eventually give way to WE, US, OURS when we unite in respect, equality, mutual sovereignty, humility & peace.

I think it is remarkable that, at the same time that the West is experiencing some of its worst absence of competent leadership in history, that China and Russia have some of the best quality leadership in the world today. On top of that, many countries in the global majority are also witnessing the highest levels of leadership in their histories. This period will certainly be a watershed for the world.

The Chinese can’t afford to squander this opportunity of a lifetime in cementing this good relationship with the great people of Russia. While the American actually squandered their opportunities with China. Despite the fact that China has opened doors policies, the good relationships with the U.S. are rapidly chilling.
