- 1975 the hard rock band Nazareth with singer Dan McCafferty performed live in the Austrian music show Spotlight. It became a legendary concert.
Spotlight was a music show for the youth, which was aired between 1968 and 1978 by the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF). It was the counterpart to the shows "Beat Club" or "Musikladen" in Germany. - เพลง

What a band, and that voice was incredible. I miss this era of music.

That voice always sounded so painful to do. Like he would need a few Throat Lozenges after one song.

One of the very few vocalists that can make Brian Johnson and Axl Rose sound tame. RIP to one of the most unique voices in music. I'll keep on listening til I die and beyond.

Never saw the fascination with Axl, at all. But yes Dan was awesome.
Axl and guns & roses copied not just the vocal style, but the use of the "coda" in songwriting. But nobody will ever match McCafferty. He was a freak of nature, and unlike others, kept 95% of his vocal chops until the end.
Dan McCafferty has one of the most unique voices in hard rock. Godspeed Dan. Thank you for your talent.

Not unique if you’ve ever heard post Bon Scott AC/DC. He sound s exactly like what Brian became. Brian didn’t sound like he did after getting the AC/DC gig. His previous work was nothing like what he did after copping this guys sound.

They are my favorite hard rock band and I have their entire discography (damn!, why I couldn't born before?!?!?!?!, I have lost the opportunity to see many great bands!, like Judas Priest or Jethro Tull...)
These are the ones who started it all…Nazareth, Steppenwolf, Black Sabbath, Blue Cheer, Iron Butterfly…pioneers of Heavy Metal.
Vanilla Fudge inspired Deep Purple, Uriah Heep, John Bonham, etc. as far as metal roots go, we should probably mention King Crimson as well.

Fuck people stop calling everything overrated/underrated. Not everything is meant to be a soul-less commercial hit, multi platinum record, and not all performers/musicians are meant to rise to superstardom, become celebrity douchebags and fart dollars: doesn´t mean they "failed" or that they are worthless. That not many people listen to this classic hard rock just make it unknown to those said people, not "underrated". Please!

Just a figure of speech... the album didn’t get the recognition it deserved... you get into a band to make money and to make your fans happy, which means the music industry recognizes the talent and gives it airplay which results in ticket sales and album sales... an album this great did not get the recognition it deserved. The first time I played Hair of the dog album, I was blown away. I am 61 and love rocking with Nazareth.
Nazareth were amazing! It always freaked me that some of my friends didn’t listen or really know how great they were. I absolutely love me some Nazareth!

My mom's favorite band as a teen and one of my holiest pieces of vinyl since I took it over as a small child. I have it and baby it to this day. Amazing record! Every track is a hard rock legend.

First band I ever saw live, I went on to see them about 15 times. They were incredible live. God we were spoilt back then.

Absolutely love it!!! I grew up on the Hair of the Dog album. I remember stealing pot and this album from my buddies older brother so we could jam out !! It was the first album I ever bought with my own money I saved up. Much love and respect to Nazareth for their no bullshit rock and roll and filthy rad guitar riffs!! Every time I hear this it takes me back ❤

One of my favorite song by them, amazingly done. Oh man, I'm a bit late as I don't do the news or social media. But been a lifetime fan of this amazing band with such a diverse sound... just found out Dan MacCafferty died in 2022.. Fills me with immense sadness, an amazing voice and songwriter, a fucking legend. R.I.P. Thank you for all the good times.
