Hence, he gets off to a shaky start - especially with his classmate Kate, who is very smart and has a type A personality. Kate’s father is Admiral Blake, the Commander of the Navy. Jim and Kate vie for top of the class but have very different skills. Captain Amelia is dean of the Academy, which has a brand-new vessel: the Centurion. Designed by Doctor Doppler, the Centurion is the fastest ship in the galaxy. B.E.N. is its pilot. The pirate Ironbeard desires to commandeer the Centurion. This ruthless villain is relatively all iron - almost nothing of whom he originally was, inside and out, is left. He leads a group of pirates to hijack the Centurion while Jim and Kate are aboard. The Navy can’t catch the Centurion, due to the vessel’s speed and armor. Jim and Kate escape the Centurion. Jim decides he needs a pirate to help catch pirates. They find his old buddy Long John Silver in the Lagoon Nebula, where he is running a smuggling ring. Silver agrees to help when he hears about the Centurion. Jim and Kate receive a tracking signal from B.E.N. - who is currently hostage aboard the Centurion - and follow via Silver’s creaky vessel. They discover the Centurion docked near the Botany Bay Prison Asteroid. Ironbeard is using the Centurion to disable Botany Bay’s security systems. Jim, Kate and Silver sneak aboard the Centurion, where Silver reveals to Jim that he wants to take the Centurion for himself. He asks Jim to join him. Kate overhears this and is horrified, especially since the two have, of course, started falling for each other during the adventure. Ironbeard discovers the intruders, charging into a fight in which Silver is injured. Meanwhile, the other pirates throw down ladders to the prison below, allowing swarms of elated prisoners to climb up into the ship. Silver, Jim, and Kate exit the Centurion amidst all the confusion. However, Ironbeard shoots down Silver’s ship. They plummet to the prison asteroid below, crash-landing. Kate is angry at Jim and storms off. Jim is about to blow her off as well when Silver tells him to give her a chance. He reveals a part of his past through a flashback, when a young (non-cyborg) Silver screwed up a relationship with the love of his life - a decision which directly led to his life of piracy. Silver has a very dangerous cargo with him that he had been trying to smuggle and sell for a fortune, which has the power of a neutron bomb. Jim, Kate and Silver reconcile and work together to fix Silver’s ship and prevent the Centurion, filled with the most evil pirates in the galaxy, from going on an insane robbing-and-killing spree. At the last second, Silver reluctantly gives up his “retirement fund” in order to destroy the Centurion, with Ironbeard and all the pirates on board. But a twist is iron beard survived and attach onto silver arm and silver releases his robotic arm to space where iron beard was defeated Silver again parts from Jim and Kate, telling them to take care of each other. A few years later, Jim and Kate graduate with honors, while a proud Silver secretly watches from the shadows, smiling

Yeah, so much of our media is either: boy goes on a journey and gets the girl in the end or girl/boy ends up with the first opposite gender character we're introduced to. Retrospectively, it's refreshing we had a story focusing on growing into maturity and finding adult role models who may not always do the right thing but do right by us. We don't need a love interest for that and we don't need a relationship pushed as part of the "complete happy ending." But this art implies we could have got some of Silver's back story and he might have had a daughter and that kind of sounds a bit dope.

The parts that looks like this sequel would've been interesting (going by what I can see from what little the consept art shows) seems to look like Jim Hawkins trying to balance between being a rule-following naval soldier/sailor and trying to protect John Silver from the naval authorities. That probably would have been a cool concept for a Treasure Planet sequel to explore (and help it further stand out from the other Treasure Island adaptations). However, the love interest part might be a bit iffy (especially if they were planning on doing something like Hunchback of Notre Dame II or Mulan II). At best, here's hoping it would've been something like Tarzan II, Brother Bear II, or the third Cinderella movie... 0_0
Unpopular opinion but im glad it didnt get a sequel. The Disney sequels at the time werent great. A number of them felt like a bunch of episodes from an episodic tv series smooshed together into a feature length film rather than a meaningful continuation. Mulan 2, atlantis 2, lion king 2. Tresure planet 2 would have been 30 mins of an elaborate heist but was actually the doctor reading his children a bedtime story, 30 mins of jim and his mother running the new inn, and 30 mins of how his dads first adventure went.
Treasure Planet (my personal fave Disney film, based on my favorite novel) also nearly had a sindicated series on DisneyXD. They were in early production and even released a PC game of the plot for the 2nd film. Story not as good but still would have loved to see the Crew of the R.L.S. Legacy again.
This is extremely beautiful and good to see. Not only because of the designs of the characters and ships, but because of the narrative that was going to be presented to us. Damn Disney by not giving us QUALITY ART

Aww, this could have cute. Who do you think could have played Kate? At the top of my head I wonder if Joseph Gordon-Levitt's fellow *10 Things I Hate About You* actor, Julia Stiles could have played her. Kate looks like she has a snarky quality to her like Kat did.
If you can find out the plot, then its possible that a large enough team of fanart volunteers could put together a fan art comic of the whole thing. From there you can use fan voice actors and etc to give audio to the comics/story boards. Eventually we will be able to use AI to turn that comic into an Animated feature for the fans.

@Sirbobomb6783 I am quite sure that the script of this film can be found online. If so, then each scene could be storyboarded and then given audio dubbing. That is the closest we'll get to a fully animated version of it for at least a little while till AI gets to the point where it can do some heavy lifting. Minor scenes of the storyboard could be animated by fans piece by piece.
Best movie never made, I’m obsessed and in love with this beautiful art! Would’ve been amazing to see Jim and Silver reunite, as well as Jim and Kate’s relationship ❤️ As a wise man once said, “Jate is fate”!
I think I get what is happening. Jim goes on another treasure hunt and encounters a federal sinking ship. After a rough first encounter, Jim and the new catgirl start growing closer to each other. All this is happening while being hunted by space French captain blue hat(0:40).
According to an article by Animated Views, it would have involved Jim Hawkins going to the Royal Interstellar Academy where he is described as being a bit of a "hot-shot", in contrast to his smart classmate and eventual love interest, Kate Blake. Captain Amelia is the dean of the academy and has a brand new vessel designed by Dr. Delbert Doppler called the Centurion. The new vessel is designed to be the fastest ship in the galaxy and has B.E.N. as the ship's pilot. Soon, Jim and Kate face their new enemy, Ironbeard who has a desire to take control of the ship. Ironbeard and his gang of pirates then hijack the ship, forcing Jim and Kate to escape and find help from a pirate who can stop Ironbeard. Jim then finds help from his old friend John Silver at the Lagoon Nebula as they plan to sneak on board of the ship and gain back control of the Centurion. However, Silver also has desires of controlling the ship himself and wants Jim to join him, which horrifies Kate and the three find out that Ironbeard is using the Centurion for his own villainous gains, which includes disabling Botany Bay Prison Asteroid's security system to allow escaping prisoners to join the ship. Ironbeard also damages Silver's ship to prevent the three from catching up to him. Jim, Kate, and Silver soon reconcile with one another and Silver reveals that he has smuggled a ton of weapons that can help destroy the Centurion. With the three now working together and fixing Silver's ship, Silver is soon forced to destroy the Centurion and kill all of Ironbeard's crew on the ship. The film would then end with Silver parting ways again with Jim and Kate, and the two graduating from the Royal Interstellar Academy a few years later with honors, while Silver stands in the shadows, secretly smiling at their accomplishments.
No, its alluding to silvers past. When Jim asked what happened to his arm and leg, silver told him 'you give up a few things, chasing a dream.' Apparently he sacrificed more than a few limbs. He left the love of his life behind to chase Flints trove. What makes this scene hit really hard is that despite becoming a father figure to Jim, at one point he abandoned someone who truly loved him, just like Jim's father abandoned his family.
When I listen to I'm Still Here, I always envision Jim growing up, traveling the galaxy by ship, meeting a pirate queen, and becoming a father. One who doesn't leave because they already live together on the boat And every year, they visit an aging Sarah
Perhaps Treasure Planet 2 can get a second chance to see the light of day as a comic or graphic novel. With that said, the concept art is amazing. The character at 0:24 looks like Mufasa with a humanoid body.
@Sirbobomb6783 Yeah yeah. They agreed to give a sequal to the Atlantis. But now, they are out of the ideas. And they believe, fans will love it, but actually NOT.

Damn Terminator Pirate as the main antagonist
I never knew I needed a buccaneer terminator before until now
Treasure Planet (my personal fave Disney film, based on my favorite novel) also nearly had a sindicated series on DisneyXD. They were in early production and even released a PC game of the plot for the 2nd film.
Story not as good but still would have loved to see the Crew of the R.L.S. Legacy again.
Traditional 2d animation is so beautiful. If they brought it back I might actually consider seeing a Disney movie.
More ships, older Jim, new faces and Silver fighting an evil android...
Looks like Battle of Procyon game took a lot of elements from the sequel
Actually no the director didnt even know during the time of making the second treasure planet that a treasure planet game existed
That last concept look like terminator 3 final showdown. Dayum if only the computer didnt explode
Someone needs to make that movie, i don't care if its an unofficial sequel movie on youtube. ❤
Y’know, if Treasure Planet 2 wasn’t planned for a direct to video release, I would have LOVED to have seen it come into fruition.
This is extremely beautiful and good to see. Not only because of the designs of the characters and ships, but because of the narrative that was going to be presented to us.
Damn Disney by not giving us QUALITY ART
Treasure planet 2 sounds awesome
He wouldve journied to the stars, save old friends, make new ones, and fall in love.
What would I give to see any of it.
Thank you.
Treasure planet deserved a sequel in my opinion
I agree with you
I don’t care what they say. They deserve to do a sequel.
Jim Hawkins confirmed to be a furry
Willum Defou was sitting at the recording booth getting ready to record his first lines for a test when they got the call that the movie was axec by the higher ups
We were robbed.
0:19 would the girl (she might have cut her hair later or something) have been Jimmy’s love interest? 0:34 kind of implies it.
I wish the sequel was never cancelled.
18/10/2024.
I'm just glad people still remembers and respect this absolute masterpiece.
I will never forgive Disney for what they did
Aw… that would’ve been so awesome~…!
Toooooooots this would have been so dang COOOOOOOOOOL
Okay if treasure planet 2 was made/finished who would you think would voice Kate
1. Stephanie Beatrix
2. Neve Campbell
3. Jennifer Lopez
4. Mandy Moore
Как жаль, что такой мультфильм так и не вышел!
God I wish I didn't live in this timeline. Why couldn't I have been born in the universe where this was actually made?
They should have made this sequel of treasure planet in the first place.
We were robbed
Humanity was robbed
Мне это очень нравится,планета сокровищ один из моих любимых мультфильмов и он мне нравится намного больше "острова сокровищ" я бы очень хотела 2 часть😅,но переживаю ведь в наше время плюют на качество мультфильмов и на их сюжет😢
Omg! What if the lion girl is Silver’s daughter he never knew about! 🫢
Why can’t they just make this movie??? They’ve been making re-makes of all their old stuff anyways!💀
The Voice actor for silver is dead
I need second movie 😩
Can you upload the full Song (like this) from your Video please?
This should've happened ❤ ; I really want to have this movie to be real ; why cancel such great opportunities 😪 💔 😢
I am literally crying… what could’ve been…
On one hand I'm sad to know that the sequel will never happen. On another hand, thank god my childhood memories of the first movie are safe
I dont want a sequel of Treasure Planet cause I know that Disney tends to ruin their sequels more often than not, but omg this concept arts looked so good. Especially this one 0:34.
I want content of this kind but nothing official, you know?
AUGH I CANT WAIT TILL I HAVE STUPID AMOUNTS OF MONEY SO I CAN FUND STUFF LIKE THIS
I wish we got it instead of it being lost media.
Treasure planet was awesome
It-it just ain't fair...
I would love to see a sequel but after seeing other great single movies getting sequels (Megamind) i fear
The 1st was very underrated, shame that the 2nd was cancelled, that hits deep right in the childhood
@@ahmedshaharyarejaz9886 the plot would been this:The sequel was to pick up where the first film left off, with Jim Hawkins going to the Royal Interstellar Academy. At the Academy, he is a hotshot “natural,” but he doesn’t follow the rules very well.
Silver again parts from Jim and Kate, telling them to take care of each other. A few years later, Jim and Kate graduate with honors, while a proud Silver secretly watches from the shadows, smiling.
Would’ve been amazing to see Jim and Silver reunite, as well as Jim and Kate’s relationship ❤️
As a wise man once said, “Jate is fate”!
I think I get what is happening. Jim goes on another treasure hunt and encounters a federal sinking ship. After a rough first encounter, Jim and the new catgirl start growing closer to each other. All this is happening while being hunted by space French captain blue hat(0:40).
Im so upset we're never getting a Treasure Planet 2 movie..
Long John Silver is my #1 favourite character of all Disney ones out there!
This looks cool not gonna lie
Though yes we were robbed of not getting a sequel, I pray to God that Disney doesn't remake Treasure Planet
The art book is $400 dollars now….its a shame I’ll never be able to physically see the stunning art
Don’t care what anyone sez. I enjoyed Treasure Planet.
This was my childhood movie I hope they make a live action movie of this would be epic if they did
Is this implying that cyborg was his dad in a version of the movie?
No, its alluding to silvers past. When Jim asked what happened to his arm and leg, silver told him 'you give up a few things, chasing a dream.' Apparently he sacrificed more than a few limbs. He left the love of his life behind to chase Flints trove. What makes this scene hit really hard is that despite becoming a father figure to Jim, at one point he abandoned someone who truly loved him, just like Jim's father abandoned his family.
When I listen to I'm Still Here, I always envision Jim growing up, traveling the galaxy by ship, meeting a pirate queen, and becoming a father. One who doesn't leave because they already live together on the boat
And every year, they visit an aging Sarah
I always thought that the sequal to Treasure Planet, could adapt other famous sea stories, like Moby Dick, or the Mysterious Island.
I've actually had a few ideas of my own for a Treasure Planet sequel.
I want a TP 2
Perhaps Treasure Planet 2 can get a second chance to see the light of day as a comic or graphic novel.
With that said, the concept art is amazing. The character at 0:24 looks like Mufasa with a humanoid body.
man that's so sad that would of been epic this film would of made many people people love it more
One day we will get that Treasure Planet 2. ... One day.
Please for the love of God make this movie, Treasure Planet is criminally underrated.
I would have done anything for this sequel to happen or even a show!!!!
I really hope that there's a sequel someday
Arts are so great. Why did they cancel this sequal?? 😭😭😭
Disney dosent care what the fans want they made that clear millions of times
@Sirbobomb6783 Yeah yeah. They agreed to give a sequal to the Atlantis. But now, they are out of the ideas. And they believe, fans will love it, but actually NOT.
Awesome!
Disney should look back to its old animation movies and realise how important and well like to kids and adults back then.
To this day, I’m angry that this hasn’t happened!
0:26 - So Jim's father wasn't Human, that increases the possibility that Silver is his father.
