I've been waiting for something new from you. Discovered this channel via the Z build right at the point where you took the break to move, so glad to see you coming back.
Now that I also replaced both air bag curtains,,,, and module under middle console ,,, and had both seatbelts repaired with battery disconnected ,, once I connect battery and start motor , will the airbag ICON NOT be there on dashboard ,, and if soo , do I need to take truck to dealer so that they can reset it ?? ,,,,
What’s up bro! Hope Texas is treating you well, I’ve been watching the Z build from the beginning. I got my 280z soon after you I think, can’t wait for your return and for your 3D printed body kit to go on the market 😎. The rocket bunny is $$$ I appreciate your personable demeanor and attention to detail too✌🏼
hey man I've been following your 240 z build since around ep 5 then I took a little break from Datsun's then I realized that you stopped uploading I don't mean to rush but I would love to see more videos, but take your time man I know moving can be hard.
I just watched every video on your Z since I found your channel searching up coilovers DIY. So glad I found it since I'm almost done tearing out everything from my Z and had no idea what to do for rust removal/painting, and the rotisserie video was just perfect. Any plans on starting up the project soon? Great videos man, gotta make some more lol
Yo, you cant just stitch the seats. It wont open properly if you have another airbag wanting to deploy, there is a special thread and stitch patern for those.
From what I read online, you can stitch it up yourself. I forgot to mention this, but you have to use nylon thread, Tex size of 30-80, and stitch length of about 5-7 stitches per inch for it to work properly.
It has gone well! Thanks! With that said, I’ve had some family stuff happen in the past few months, which keeps pushing deadlines back. The new garage is very close to being finished and then I’ll start back up with the Datsun :)
Did you get what I term as cat hair, all over the interior from the air bag ? Its something the factory puts in kind of like baby powder to keep the bag from sticking together. If so, how did you clean that crap off the seats and headliner. Great rebuild by the way.
By the way, is the wire to the seat air bag a yellow wire? Had someone tell me that. I want to remove mine or just unplug as I bought newer seats from a 23 for my older 04
@@BradBuilds thanks I reset my code now I have another for the passenger seat harness. Hopefully a simple unplug and re-plug will do the truck tomorrow.
Did you really replace the seat airbag and sew up the open seam with a different pattern? I don't think you can do that! You have to match the same stitching strength to ensure that the new bag deploys safely. Assuming that the new sewing is stronger the bag will deploy inside the seat itself rather than breaking out and definately kill whoever is in that seat, crushing them between the seat belt and the exploding seat cover. Not cool!
Man how come every cool informative channel I find is dead or hasn’t posted in months
Falls off the face of the planet after great content. Come back with the 3d printing content!

Quite the shape to that seat airbag!
Need you to come back.
any update on the datsun

What happened to Brad builds? I wanna see that dodge ram
Amazing job
very good video good job kid
So is the "seat thread" you stitched back up with made to fail in an airbag deployment I assume?
interested to see how your welds have improved over time and what youve learned since the $125 amazon welding video
I hope the move has gone well for you. I admit I'm in need of a video on the datsun bro. I hope to see one soon👍. You are awesome to watch mate.

Where are you?!?!

Brad where are you?
Love it !
I was going to ask did you replace the airbag computer? Normaly it hardcodes a code that cannot be reset after it has detected a collision!
did you have to change air bag sensors too? they're in the door pillar.
By the way, is the wire to the seat air bag a yellow wire? Had someone tell me that. I want to remove mine or just unplug as I bought newer seats from a 23 for my older 04
Did you replace airbags module?
can i cut my side curtains airbags if there in the way after deployment
IS there a part 4 for this rebuild?
Did u just put the air bag and then just headliner should go back normal? Dont need to buy new one?
Does the airbag light go off after that?
Where do you buy your parts from?
Can you refer me to where you got the new airbags from?
Did you have to change SRS module
I cannot remember. I don’t think I did, but my srs light did end up coming back on 🤣
Brad come baaaack
where did you go
Did your air bag light go off
Yes!
Did your airbag light go out by itself or did you have to have it reset at the dealer?
I had to reset it. I purchased a “Think Diag OBD2 Diagnostic Scanner” ($50 eBay or Amazon), and that did the trick 👍
@@BradBuilds thanks I reset my code now I have another for the passenger seat harness. Hopefully a simple unplug and re-plug will do the truck tomorrow.
How much you pay for that air bag ?
240z
😮
"Myairbags" is a company in GA who fix seatbelts. Just lyk.
Its been a year daddy
Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeesh
