About Lucifer: Lucifer is an American urban fantasy television series developed by Tom Kapinos that premiered on Fox on January 25, 2016.[2][3] It is based on the DC Comics character created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg taken from the comic book series The Sandman, who later became the protagonist of a spin-off comic book series, both published by DC Comics' Vertigo imprint. The series is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer Television, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television. The series revolves around Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis), the Devil, who abandons Hell for Los Angeles where he runs his own nightclub and becomes a consultant to the LAPD.
The ensemble and supporting cast include Lauren German as Detective Chloe Decker, Kevin Alejandro as Detective Daniel "Dan" Espinoza, D. B. Woodside as Amenadiel, Lesley-Ann Brandt as Mazikeen, and Rachael Harris as Dr. Linda Martin. Filming took place primarily in Vancouver, British Columbia before production was relocated entirely to Los Angeles, California beginning with the third season. The first season received mixed reviews from critics, though subsequent seasons were better rated. The fourth season also received high ratings and critical acclaim. Many critics particularly praised Ellis' performance. Despite initially high viewership for its debut, ratings remained consistently low throughout the series' run on Fox. On May 11, 2018, Fox cancelled Lucifer after three seasons. A month later, Netflix picked up the series for a fourth season of ten episodes, which was released on May 8, 2019.
On June 6, 2019, Netflix renewed the series for the fifth and final season which will be 16 episodes. However, in March 2020, Tom Ellis and other stars of the show were reported to have signed up for a sixth season to be produced by Netflix and Warner Bros.[4] Official confirmation is yet to be received. It was later reported that production has stopped near to the end of Season 5 due to the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic and studio closures. Not James Bond, but The Doctor on Doctor Who! If Colin Baker and Peter Capaldi could each appear in a previous episode of D.W. before taking on the role, Tom's appearance in a David Tennant-era episode shouldn't be a deterrent.

I was JUST gonna write a comment saying all this! "Miranda" is a British classic and the whole show was essentially based on the intense chemistry between Gary and Miranda, and Tom Ellis' acting was such an integral part of the electricity between him and her.

I did not know who Tom Ellis was before Lucifer. He was perfect for the role! It is funny how he's played men of the cloth too. Also, his American accent is spot on!

How did these film producers miss out on this actor? My gawd he’s awesome, it’s sad he had to go for years before landing Lucifer. I did watch a few of his other movies and he’s awesome. His character is fabulous, his voice and sense of humour. Movie goers missed out all those past years, he should have had major rolls. His charisma is catchy, we need more Tom
All I can say is that Hollywood has gotten really lazy! Sometimes I think the powers that be really need to get their eyes checked! Tom is a gold mine so they better get him before some other studio does 💕
He was just one of many before Lucifer and now he is again! Only two smaller projects after Lucifer and the next role he will play was created and written by his wife. Not very impressive

I never knew his college roommate was the actor that plays the young Charles Xavier! That’s a cool fact. My top 3 favorite shows he’s been in is Merlin, Once Upon A Time and Lucifer. I love the humorous and charismatic characters he plays!! I was very curious and excited for his portrayal of Robin Hood on season 2 of Once Upon A time! I’m bummed he never came back though to develop his portrayal more for the show. Since recently finally watching all of Lucifer, I have to say his portrayal of Lucifer, Mm! God tier level!! Definitely my favorite character he’s portrayed!! He was BORN to play Lucifer!! I hope to see Tom Elis in more good shows and or movies in the following years!! It was very interesting just a while ago hearing a rumor for Elis being a candidate for Mr. Fantastic.

I am of British descent on both sides of my family. And I am a woman with a classic British (Roman) nose. It is the family nose and I am very proud of it.
In my early thirties, my nose was severely broken. The Nasal bone, which is part of your skull was badly chip on one side and my nasal septum was completely dislodged. I required complex surgery as simply resetting my septum wasn't possible. The nasal bone had to be roughed up with a rasp type surgical instrument. This forces the bone to regrow and attach the section that had been completely severed. They use a type of surgical glue to hold the two pieces together and then they were able to reposition my septum into it's proper location. It literally took an entire year for my nose to heal.
Anyway, when I went to see the surgeon to discuss all of this pre-surgery, he told me that free of charge he could shave down the hump in my septum to "create a more attractive nose" by making the bridge of my nose a smooth straight line. I was insulted and explained that I was perfectly happy with my British nose and under no circumstances did I want any changes to my original nose shape. He kept suggesting it and I maintained my stance on the subject.
He did, in the end, respect my decision.

It is nice to see that people like yourself, appreciate that this is part of our genetic history and to alter it would be like denying our heritage.
There are other people of various heritage from around the world where a Roman styled nose is predominate with their people and it too represents their heritage and the are proud of their nose shape.
Not everyone thinks that this type of nose is unattractive and should be "corrected ". I live in Canada and this notion of the pillbox nose is the desired nose shape.

Besides watching Tom Ellis in "Lucifer", I saw him in "The Secret Of Crickley Hall". He wasn't in it a lot, but he was Maisie Williams's Dad in that show. I also liked him in "Merlin". I really believe he does deserve a chance to be James Bond. I think I have a pretty good eye for talent. Years ago, I was routing for Pierce Brosnan to be James Bond when he first started out in his role of "Remington Steele". And Wow...It actually happened and turned out quit well. Tom just has that look and attitude.
This is really odd, he's been laced throughout my childhood and I never even notcied until Lucifer. It's like his face morphs for each character. Miranda, Merlin, Doctor Who, I'm actually having an existential crisis.

The first time I noticed this actor was in Rush. That show was freaking good. Sad it only had one season cause it had potential. But I'm thinking "Might as well", because we probably wouldn't have had him as Lucifer.. I don't think anyone else could've have done that part as good as Tom Ellis have. I'm sad to see that show come to an end after s6.

I've only seen Tom in Doctor Who, Once Upon A Time & Lucifer, but I think he's very talented & pure eye candy. Being an American, British shows often don't get the attention they deserve here, but Tom definitely stands out.
Didn't remember that he was in Once Upon a Time. Mostly before Lucifer I knew him from Doctor Who and Merlin. Wish he could have stuck around longer as Cenred in Merlin.

after seeing Tom ellis in lucifer, I searched for his career, and I first come across was rush... the character he prayed ( william rush) was most likely the lucifer character, because in both shows his character has the same father complex. unfortunately rush had only one season. actually that was a shame, because it was really a great show. but you know tvs...they were almost cancel lucifer 😡😡😡😡.......anyway, after that, I saw him in the show called miranda, and I absolutely fell in love with the gary character that he played😍😍😍😍😍😍after that, I watched Monday Monday, where he played Steven. that was a very flirty character, just like lucifer. I also watched the show called fades and the movie: misconception

I watched him in Miss Conception, The Flash, Poirot, Rush (like a prequel to Lucifer) and of course Lucifer. I think he would make a fantastic James Bond - handsome, good actor and cheeky!
I like him more for the role of Lucifer. I think he did incredible. He really made me laugh with his acting as Lucifer. I wish they had done a couple of more seasons of Lucifer.

I have seen Ellis in Jack and the Beanstalk: The Real Story, Once Upon A Time, Merlin, and Doctor Who. I wish Ellis would play in something with Tom Mison. I said a few years ago that I wish David Tennant and Michael Sheen would play in something together, and low-n-behold, Good Omens came out. So my next wish is for the 2 Toms to play in something together.
