About Lucifer:
Lucifer is an American urban fantasy television series developed by Tom Kapinos that premiered on Fox on January 25, 2016.[2][3] It is based on the DC Comics character created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg taken from the comic book series The Sandman, who later became the protagonist of a spin-off comic book series, both published by DC Comics' Vertigo imprint. The series is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer Television, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television. The series revolves around Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis), the Devil, who abandons Hell for Los Angeles where he runs his own nightclub and becomes a consultant to the LAPD.
The ensemble and supporting cast include Lauren German as Detective Chloe Decker, Kevin Alejandro as Detective Daniel "Dan" Espinoza, D. B. Woodside as Amenadiel, Lesley-Ann Brandt as Mazikeen, and Rachael Harris as Dr. Linda Martin. Filming took place primarily in Vancouver, British Columbia before production was relocated entirely to Los Angeles, California beginning with the third season. The first season received mixed reviews from critics, though subsequent seasons were better rated. The fourth season also received high ratings and critical acclaim. Many critics particularly praised Ellis' performance. Despite initially high viewership for its debut, ratings remained consistently low throughout the series' run on Fox. On May 11, 2018, Fox cancelled Lucifer after three seasons. A month later, Netflix picked up the series for a fourth season of ten episodes, which was released on May 8, 2019.
On June 6, 2019, Netflix renewed the series for the fifth and final season which will be 16 episodes. However, in March 2020, Tom Ellis and other stars of the show were reported to have signed up for a sixth season to be produced by Netflix and Warner Bros.[4] Official confirmation is yet to be received. It was later reported that production has stopped near to the end of Season 5 due to the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic and studio closures. Rob Zabrecky is known for his appearance in A Ghost Story, Lost River, and Criminal Minds. He’s set to play the role of Horace Goldfinger.

While I love the singing roles, and he pulls the appearance off perfectly, it's been revealed plenty of times that the piano playing in the series wasn't him - he WAS doing all his singing though.
“I’m very musical, and I can play a little bit, but piano was never my instrument,” he tells us. “Hopefully people believe I’m actually tinkling those ivories.”
“The singing is definitely me,” Ellis clarifies. “The singing is all me.”
He HAS some piano skills, and has been learning, according to bts footage and admissions, but for the series, he admitted that he didn't have quite the skillset on it to pull it off.

Having support from the family is such a big thing in this day and age. Depression is thrown around a lot because of people not being able to deal with their emotions. Learning about Lucifer helps that although he may be perceived evil, he was and still considered to be an angel. Love and forgiveness are possibly the most controversial topics for people who lost faith in society.
They didn't mention his short run TV Series Rush (2014), I loved it.

Recently, I found out that Tom has also been in a number of pilots that didn't get picked up. (Not available online anymore that I know of.)
