I haven’t bought vinyl since ‘82 wen I 1st heard cd’s & have NEVER looked back !!!! Cd’s are by far the best sound quality over vinyl,, cassettes…with cd’s u don’t have 2 worry bout skips..snap crackle & pop etc….wen u buy vinyl new it could still skip as well as used vinyl..I’ve never had the problem with cd’s & as I said I’ve been buying only cd’s since 1982 & im still using my CD player I bought in ‘82…
Wow, sounds like a great investment over the years. I hope to keep my collection for a very long time also and that’s why I’ve been collecting cds as well. But I also do feel like cd might make a strong come back and prices are going to skyrocket similar to vinyls which is why I’m collecting them now while cheap
Yep,I've been a CD lover since they came out. What is great is how versatile they are. Rip to the computer, burn to a blank CD ( mixed tape style) and play in the car ( can't do that with vinyl records). and now with flash drives you can sync with the computer and put lots more tunes on them and play in the house or car, that makes them great for road trips ( don't need XM).
For most collectors, music is not about price, selling, reselling etc., it's about enjoying the music they have. Music is what collectors make them happy, not on how much an album cost when they bought it. I have 2000+ cd's and did not pay any more than 1 euro each for a cd, for my music collection.
@@Dezwarteschijf-45-Toeren There must be some CDs you want that cost more than 1 euro, maybe an out of print rare CD ? It is the music that's important,I agree, you must have come across a CD that costs a bit more than one euro by now if you have 2000.
When CDs came out it almost killed vinyl, then all of the sudden younger people wanted to listen to vinyl like their parents and g-parents did.in other words, it was hip again, you pay say thirty US dollars for a record then accidently scratch the he(( out of it, what is it worth then.I have some used CDs that are scratched but still play fine. Doing some quick math here: Vinyl average of $25.00 x 200 records = $5000.00 (new) CD average of $10.00 x 200 = $2000.00 (new) Why that's $ 3000.00 I've saved to buy more CDs, plus listen to crisp clear music. I'm 63 and have been doing CDs since they came out, just last night I turned off the lights and cranked up Dark Side Of The Moon and didn't have to flip a record. You folks who buy vinyl, I'm not dissing you personally, but the record companies are making huge profits off you when you pay more than $15.00 for vinyl, but you do you. YMMV
@@04EbonyLTD I buy both CDs and Vinyl, mostly used ,the vinyl is mostly 45s because I don't have much room for a huge LP collection ,but some 45s I have are pretty rare and expensive.
