In the A6s hand where you call a 3-bet of the tight opponent: (11:57) Isn't it better to check the turn to him again and let him stab at it, you have trips with the nut flushdraw also and your opponent has most likely A-high. If he had checked back an overpair on the flop he is going to fire anyway, yeah it is likely he is going to check back turn also with A-high, but still give him some rope i would say, he has 2 outs at best and is likely drawing stone dead. Lex, please make your opponents show their cards when you call them. We all want to see if they were completely bluffing or on a draw that didn’t get there, or if they ran into a cooler. It’s better for the vlog to see what cards they had, but even when not vlogging you should make them show. Gives you an idea of the kind of plays each individual player tends to make.
I think the reason he doesn’t ask when he calls is he doesn’t want to embarrass them ~ if they are punting off with bad bluffs he wants them to continue. Making them show can embarrass them and make them slow down or leave the table. Never bite the hand that feeds analogy. 😉
