Always love the content! Really awesome to get a first hand perspective with commentary about shot taking in a slightly bigger game than you're used to. Very helpful and useful for my own playing experience.
I love these VLOGS! You’re really stepping up playing with the big boys! It wasn’t that long ago you were grinding at a 1/2 game. Now you’re raises are bigger than your entire stack back then. :)
You should put the position of every player in the hand on screen as well as the effective stack size. It makes it easier for the viewer to follow and analyze.
Incredible play on the A10 hand. I was nervous when you checked the turn but the small river bet inducing a raise is genius and worked out to perfection. I like to think I’m an ok player but that style of play is over my head. Bravo
Love the vlogs Lex, as an aspiring poker player starting his journey these are really insightful as too what level I need to be playing at in the future. Glad Hard Rock is letting you record there makes for some awesome content.
LOVE that 'please raise me' bet on the river with A-10! That's something you can basically only do at 5/10, 10/25 (maybe 2/5) with more thinking players. Doesn't work at 1/2, 1/3... Take away the two punts of $1200-ish, and you would have been up $4k...
Great vlog! Just wanted to add, your playing style contributes to more swingy sessions than the higher stakes. Not criticizing, your style can maximize winning sessions and eliminate boredom, but also inflate loses. All in all, best way of playing filming a vlog! Most fun to watch!
One of the first videos I’ve watched of yours. Idk your story, but I do like how you break down your hands in great detail ! Got you on my poker video radar. Will be looking forward to more content
You play an excellent game. I’ve watched several of your videos and you seldom make a mistake given the action ahead of you. I’ve learned a lot from your analysis. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and your knowledge in various situations. I’ll watch every video you produce. Best of run good to you.
This video was incredibly informative and showed a very deep understanding of the game, ranges of your opponents, and decision making process with that information. I'm inspired to improve my ability to be a thinking player at all times in my games.
I love your check raise with the 10/9. You ranged your opponent correctly and put him a tough spot. If he wasn’t at the top of range for his line and wifh a spade blocker he probably folds.
love the thought process, Villians AQs call made sense with 3rd nut blocker and top of his range bluff catcher. Curious what other holdings you would bluff on the river with If you are going to bluff with 109? Any spade?
Love that you’re jumping in the 10-25. Really fun to watch. I jumped in a 2-5 for the first tie the other day and made it through with a small profit, funny how it wasn’t that different to the 1-3. Our 1-3 in Cincinnati Hard Rock some might argue plays like a 2-5 and I get that now. Either way, keep up that vlog grind! We appreciate it! 🙌🏼🤘🏼
Glad to see a fellow Cincinnatian here on YT. I played 1-3 a few weeks ago and got crushed. Cooler after cooler for me and bizarre plays from players out of position. Won’t be going back for a while lol
A must move means you are sitting in a game that is used to fill other tables. When the floor comes over and asks you to stand up and move to another table, you have to. They do this to keep all other main game tables full.
Nice vlog. If you don't want to do a meet up game, think about getting a snapchat and texting where you are playing, and if you are taking a break players playing at same place might join you. Also, how do you play at Miami Casino? I went yesterday, all they had were 2/4 limit games.
Head to Los Angeles on May 15th. We will be having a vloggers game at Lucky Lady Casino at 6pm. Jeff Stimson from Vegas will be here. Happy Face Holdem from Ventura County is also showing up. Then we got ThinkBluePoker from Long Beach, and FishPoker from East LA as well. Its a $2/$3 friendly game. If you are down to come let me know and I’ll comp you a 2 night Hotel out here. Hope to see you. We are all Minor league players lol
Art ? turn was a massive blunder IMO. Overbet is appropriate, if he might spaz he might spaz raise turn or spaz shove river by leading , turn is insanely wet, I think a bet here is common a majority of the time
@@gamblingbuddha8825 Yes, that’s probably the standard line, but he went with an exploitative line and was able to generate additional EV that may have not been available in solver land.
@@SenselessApprentice did he generate additional ev on river by sacrificing ev on turn ? Maybe. Who knows. I personally think that if a player is spazzy & we have a top of range hand on an extremely wet board on flop & turn, we should be piling in money a majority of the time , i dont mind the bet to induce i actually loved that part, i just think with that mindset we should be trying to get V to spaz on turn or call a huge bet , personally i love an overbet in that exact turn spot. but if he is gonna raise small bets because he senses weakness we should then try to be getting him to spaz on turn where we can confidently get it in as a favorite , either by betting big or small to induce but generally on extremely dynamic boards big bets are heavily favored , & by betting turn we can maximize ev by shoving river IMO
@@gamblingbuddha8825 If Lex was properly rolled for 10/25, I'd agree... but he isn't, he's taking a shot. It's entirely appropriate for him to limit his exposure (by taking lines that reduce his variance) in a scenario where the villain almost certainly still has considerable equity against his actual hand. I wouldn't have played the hand this way... but I like how Lex did.
