    7:17 Sir, you've said it incorrectly. The primary oocyte gets arrested in the diplotene stage of prophase I (not leptotene)

    The arrest at prophase 1 is of diplotene not leptotene. Correct it

    Total no. of oogonia is about 40,000 at birth . This statement is seen in most of the reference books of MBBS specially in embryology section .

    2 sperms are needed to fertilize the egg one for starting meisosis 2 and other for fertilizeing ovum formed????it is not possible

    Sir your explanation is very well but
    In Ncert it is mention that primary oocytes are arrested in diplotene stage of propase 1
    Diplotene is fourth stage of propase 1
    And leptotene is first stage of propase 1

    Sir you mentioned that cell cycle arrested at Leptotene stage of prophase 1 but that is wrong. That is arrested in Deplotene stage of prophase 1.

    Sir..I have a small doubt..
    I read somewhere that the primary oocyte gets arrested in the diplotene stage of meisos 1..and Sir in ur video its told that in leptotene stage....
