How is it going, did you make stuff and sell it?
@@rigelr5345 I did! Rather than planners, I took the same design concepts and made digital journals with prompts. I did put them on Etsy and have sold some.
@@wendyjenae Thanks for responding! Did you feel like it was worth the effort for the profit you gained?
@@rigelr5345 Yes, but it's all about perspective. With my first few journals, I had to take the time to learn how to design them and how to create Etsy listings. If I were to add up the hours it took to create them and divide it by the money I made, you could say it wasn't worth it.
However, I took what I learned from those first journals and I used the designs as templates. Production got faster and easier. What once took 4-5 hours now takes less than one.
Now, a year or so later, I have a couple of Etsy shops that bring in s few sales each day without me doing anything. I'm not getting rich, but it's a good feeling when a bit of money trickles in. It also adds up. Also, I'm not getting rich because I'm not putting much effort into those shops by promoting them nor adding more products (at this time). I'm having to focus on other things in my life right now.
If you're wondering if selling digital products would be worth your time, yes, it would. Even if you made no money, you'd still develop a lot of skills and acquire a lot of knowledge you could use in other ways or use with Etsy in the future.
It's not a scam. As a buyer, I myself have bought the same kind of products I have made. There's a market for so many digital products.

This tutorial by far has been the easiest to follow, thank you so much for this. I dont often leave comments in youtube articles I have read and looked into BUT in this case, yours was amazing and was straight forward, informative and just what I needed. I have now created my simple digital planner and will be adding more sections/project tabs to the top as well as extra sections to make this perfect for my needs. I just need to d/l or create an actual diary page with the dates already done so I can add this into each section as well. Canva is amazing!
