Correction at 7:06 - Chest and Helm cannot get Critical Damage on the MAIN stat. They can get Critical Damage SUB-stats. I misspoke in the video and didn't catch this when I was editing. Note that Gloves cannot get Critical Damage on the main stat either.
Looking forward to the more in depth mid to end game guide. I started just before morpeahs bikini banner ended. I definately had a lucky start because i got morpeah, micaela, eclipse bikini costumes and levia. Eclipse is +5 and shes carried me through everything. 😅
small corrections or additions: it is worth mentioning that 5* units cannot roll their UR weapon on the infinite roll, while 4* and below units can. Its absolutly worth for damage dealers to have that. so if you are looking for an early on strong weapon to have its nice to have krys UR exclusive or Layla who is extremly strong damagewise up to chapter 13 and can even be used in chapter 14 because of her elemental advantage. (she is expensive but useable) Crafting and the materials: It should be mentioned that the type of materials is tied to the chapter. Chapter 8 for example is a go to for metals, while chapter 9 is hardwood. Hunting grounds of higher difficulty give more materials daily and are unlocked by clearing the acccording difficulty in the storyline. so if you can beat story chapter 1 on very hard which is possible very early on you should to unlock the "very hard" hunting ground there. Its an easy access to 'more' materials, that can be daily cleared. You can even skip difficulties on these as long as the story of according difficulty is cleared. Addition for the crafting going out to the new players: youre trying to get rare gear at that point but you shouldnt be worring about optimising your stats at that point since the higher up gear will easily replace the one one below especially when you make the leap to UR gear later. Metals are harder to aquire than cloth leather and so on and therefor you should try to not use them when trying to level up your crafting skill. Changing Options on R gear is cheap, so feel free to experiment with that gear but i advise you to not do the same on SR gear and instead wait with the next optimisation on UR gear. A small note here for Justia players: You do NOT want critdamage or crit chance on her. she deals fixed damage and can NOT crit, unless she isnt using a skill! For Diana: Would not call her the most important support in the game at least for main story. she is on low to mid priority there but in events she is a must have because they dependon elemental advantage. She is relevant in the game, but not as much in main story.
These are fine mentions, with some exceptions. -You're effectively suggesting that new players should get UR weapons over Eleaneer, which I do not agree with at all, even as a person who did get Kry's weapon initially. You cannot get both a UR weapon and a 5* unit. -I mentioned substats because they do make a difference. As I said in the video, it's a stretch goal. if you cannot get Rs, get Ns. And you can sit on Rs for months, honestly, if they are optimized. -Story Mode is like 10% of the game. If you're only playing the game for story mode you're going to have nothing to do. So yes, Diana is the most important support in the game. As I stated, she's not relevant all the time, but when she is, she makes an extremely big difference and the fact she works for both physical and magic teams is a huge factor to that. There are some who are close, like BA Teresse, but she doesn't work for high chain units, which is a pretty big limiting factor.
@@HeroMysticLYX not what i mean. What i mean is eleneers weapon isnt neccessary to get but adviseable. likewise its not bad if you get an UR for say kry instead. eleneer has the problem of beeing a front hitter but yes she is a debuffing unit for pvp thats one of the two cheapest to use while having great damage output. As you mentioned in your video correctly gear is the most important aspect about a unit and the modifiers on a UR4 weapon compared to a SR4 weapon are pretty large PLUS kry doesnt need great stats or level to deal damage with knockback. To come to your main argument, substats. Krys substat crit chance is actually really good for him as a unit as his main use (sp battery + knockback) scales on enemy hp not on the attack stat itself. the only bargain he would be getting out of a phys% stat would be bleed and a dmg increase on his too expensive defense shred outfit that cannot reduce defense below 0%. we are currently talking out of the perspective of a new player. BA teresse is a limited unit that shouldnt be mentioned. You even correctly said in your video that event characters shouldnt be concidered into this video as they are not accessable at all times She cannot be pulled in regular gacha. in this video specifically we are talking about an easy startup for the game. As for the optimised gear: this was more an addition to what you said. as in: dont waste your crafting materials by trying to craft the perfect R gear. and if yo uwant to level the skill up use materials that are accessable. I agree that if youre only going for story you will have nothing to do. its a compeditive game but beating all story modes is already making you someone get into the endgame or stepping your toes in. Youre not gonna rank high but ranking is the endgame. So i dont really agree with it beeing just 10%. BUT Diana is neccessary there but for a couple of month you dont have to worry too much about diana as you dont have the neccessary elemental units to really do anything major in the first place. so yea i half agree.
Thank you for the guide! I started 4 days ago and I've watched this too late 😂. I got Anastasia from Infinite and just stuck with her (don't really use her). My current team is Arides, Yomi, Justia (Knight and Hood Removed), Kry, and The Amazonian Girl (forgot her name). I will probably save my 5 star scroll for Diana since I have Yomi as my current Liatris replacement. Do you think I should pull on any of the current banners? I feel tempted but idk if I should.
You can save if you don't care for any of the collab banners. That team will do okay with bringing you out of the early game. None of them are really pressing to have unless you want Hikage for Last Night.
@HeroMysticLYX I like Hikage, but I'm not sure if I should get her. People told me I need +4 to fully utilize her, and I’m not sure if I have enough for that. I've done 'Last Night' a few times, and that's it (might invest in it in the future).
@@zypation They'd be right. Getting Hikage to +4 would be best because she won't be getting another rerun. You can settle for +1 and make her a chain stack bot, at the cost of her personal damage.
I got Schera and her weapon on the infinite draw banner and am pulling for the new collab units. I already got Hikage (first 10 pull) which was my main target. Do you suggest sticking with this account or starting a new one WITH Eleenear since she is Physical and Schera is magic?
You can make due without Eleaneer at start. Schera+1 is the 2nd best option. You can try getting Yozakura and/or Yumi and make a pretty decent magic team. If you pulled Elpis (4* so shouldn't take long), it'll be pretty solid.
@@HeroMysticLYX Okay and I noticed you’ve only mentioned other magic units to form a magic team. Is Hikage not usable with that bunch? I’m mainly interested in her and if starting fresh with an Eleaneer will help that then I will reroll for it unless I’m just overthinking this? And your feedback is understood btw I’m just really wanting to use Hikage more than the other two collab units.
@@SilentCaliber Typically, it's not wise to mix physical and magic units together (unless they're supports ofc), because they don't benefit from the same buffs. Hikage in this case would need buffs to "ATK" and not "Magic ATK" which is what Elpis provides. You're free to reroll, but If your goal is to just use Hikage, you can still use the same account. You can fill Eleaneer's slot with Hikage and you'll still be able to get through the early parts of the game, just with slightly less efficiency.
@@HeroMysticLYX Okay I now have an acc with Eleaneer +weapon and Hikage again. And the Schera account has Venaka so idk if much changes. Which acc would you stick with? One last question, as F2P are weapons worth pulling for in this game or is it something F2P can live without like in other gachas?
@@SilentCaliber I'd stick with the Eleaneer account. F2P never pulls on weapons banners beyond the daily free pull. And it's even questionable for whales. They're not worth it.
If you have Liatris' EX, I would consider building her. She's very strong early on and she only gets better once you manage to get her other costumes. Save Yomi for elemental advantage scenarios or if you need the extra damage.
Keep using Yomi. You're capable of getting Yomi to +5 very quickly and get her UR Exclusive Weapon through the event, so she's going to do way more damage than Liatris for the time being. Yomi's only issue is her extremely high SP cost, but if you built a team around her already you'll be fine to push to mid-game.
@@HeroMysticLYX theres only one problem with Yomis vs lia and that would be the targetting. Yomi is frontline while lia is backline target which can cause yomi to not utelising her 9 square best sometimes. You can use Rigenette to redirect that skill into the backline if needed but its one character less on the field and yomi does spend a lot more sp than lia. that beeing said she can be used
@@Zerephiehel That's only one problem out of all other benefits, including that you save a contract to use for someone else. Yomi is perfectly fine to use over Liatris. To say otherwise would be heavily downplaying everything Yomi is capable of. Edit: You can also get creative with knockbacks so Yomi can make full use of her range.
@@HeroMysticLYX like i said she isnt terrible to use but the benifits are really not extremly great. most of the time yo ucan get an equal or above vaule out of units that have a lower sp cost than her without wasting a turn on knockback. Id agree with the contract. she is an extremly easy to use unit and does provide elemental advantage in ch 13 but beyond that she is too wasteful of a character to play without sp battery, while liatris has 3 costumes to rotate through at a later point of that 2 of them have a 9 square.
Correction at 7:06 - Chest and Helm cannot get Critical Damage on the MAIN stat. They can get Critical Damage SUB-stats. I misspoke in the video and didn't catch this when I was editing. Note that Gloves cannot get Critical Damage on the main stat either.

A very nice one. As a day 1 player i can still appreciate it. Have a nice day.
Thank you for this guide. It helps a lot of new players to learn something or to understand how the game work. Hope BD2 can get better and better. 🙏
Looking forward to the mid game guide!
thank you bro! i just started the game and it's so fun
Need more of this brown dust 2 video including pvp tips
