Videos like this is why i love this channel. Gotta say though, this looks like one of those inventions that seem like a great idea at the time but turn out to be an even bigger pain than doing things the hard way. My kind of invention.
Good idea, head radius is a bit large. Housing on a production model could be vacuum formed ABS to lower mass. Burlap material may be a better bag solution.
In the time you wasted fabricating that thing, you could’ve raked the yard and been good for another year. As a bonus, that contraption wouldn’t be junking up your shop for an entire year.
I'll give you lots of credit for trying, but , the bag gets full too quick. 2 it's too heavy for the job , you should try using the lawnmower with the bag and that works I did my double lot in 15 minutes while my neighbor took him one hour just to blow it into a pile.
You may need to put a bigger wheel on that heavy sucker. I hope one day some company sponsors you and buys you either a 3 D printer or gives you a ton of carbon fiber stuff to experiment with.

I've use a furnace blower strapped to a movers dolly, n blown to a pile on a tarp, drag to compost heap n drop n my chipper shredder,l. Hell before the shredder I took wheels off a old mower n mulched them and chunks if fire rotting fire wood from splitting. Made nice mulch for the flower bed n small garden
That's got to weigha ton now. They have this thing called a backpack blower it would be much faster. Make a video with snow on the ground for making a pass it might work good instead of a shovel

It has potential. I'd say nix the bag, and just create piles of leaves. Your idea also gave me an idea for a "lawn vacuum robot".

Option 1: Use blower to push leaves to a corner
Option 2: use lawn mower
Both options works in the rain and wet leaf collection
