It is a waste of time and money. Creating an effective and inexpensive tool is an achievement. Modifying a costly tool to create a tool that already exists is just a waste of time and money. simply buy the knives that adapt to your weed eater and that's it. the weed eater has more rpm than chain saw.
Maybe because they are jealous of other people skills or they think that using expensive makita chainsaws to make a grass cutting machine is a overkill with their financial situation. Just guessing.
I admire and RESPECT the vision, ingenuity and talent (good hands!) it took to plan and complete this project. However. I work at an outdoor power equipment dealership and service center. There are off-the-shelf machines\heavy string trimmers, not prohibitively expensive, that will clear this kind of foliage faster, and with less weight. They cut a broader path, move the cut material out of the way better and are less dangerous if a stump or solid obstacle is encountered in the thick greenery. Just pointing that out. In his shoes (the builder) I might have wanted to try the very same thing. Some of the first commercially available string trimmers were part of a kit that converted to-and-from a chainsaw power unit. As I recall, the inventor of the string trimmer USED a chain saw power unit. More power to you, Made in Poland.
DAMN BROTHER, YOU ROCKED THAT IDEA. Been wondering about this type of build for myself, as the stock lengthens for weed eaters are way too short for anyone over 5foot 4inches tall, killer on my back so need shaft and gear head on longer drive shaft. It is nice but the one I made a few years back took a lot less time and effort to make. I simply removed the weed eater head and plastic shield with the string cutter and replaced the head with an 8" skil saw blade that has a 5/8" arbor. Took a few minutes tops.

W instrukcji każdej kosy jest napisane, że wysoką trawę kosi się na 2 a nawet 3 razy i wtedy nie dochodzi do zawijania się jej na głowicę obrotową. Nie ma znaczenia moc kosy bo każda się zatrzyma kiedy długa trawa nawinie się na głowicę. Do tak wysokiej trawy polecam zwykłą kosę ręczną. Zero spalin, kawałek kija+ostrze. Ostatnio kosiłem działkę kosą ręczną słysząc za płotem sąsiada z kosą spalinową. Myślę sobie, nowoczesność to założyć sobie na ramiona silnik, wdychać spaliny i słyszeć ryk silnika. Ja kosę ręczną trzymam w otwartej szopie nikt jej nie ukradnie bo nawet na złom szkoda ją nieść bo dostanie się za niż 30gr. Jak nie mam paliwa i oleju to ją odpalam i koszę. Jak pada deszcz odpalam ją i koszę. Trawa może być nawet na metr i koszę na raz. Ciemnotę ogarnęła nowoczesność z silnikiem na ramionach.:)

In other countries, I’ve seen in Laos and Thailand, they use a weed eater/ weed wacker with a propeller attachment on the end (where the cutter head would go) and propel canoes with it. 25-40cc little motors running 5-6 people canoes no problem. It can be easily raised in and out of shallow water , and then carry it home when done!

Why did you not just put the brush cutter blade on your trimmer? Seems like you did extra work to accomplish something that could have been resolved by swapping out the string head to the blade.

Но тут странный профит - расход топлива охреневший у бензопилы для таких целей, чтобы травку косить. Я бы понял если б он кусторезный диск напялил и пошел средне-мелкие кусты-деревья валить, а так .. для травы - и обычного триммера за глаза.

oh yeah... because pipe and tubing are so different.... like , one is made of metal and is round and hollow and long, and the other is long and hollow and round and is made out of metal..... so different....
@@aampudia8 it's the thickness. Causes the tubing to crush when put in a pipe bender instead if a tubing bender. Try getting an education before attempting to try and make someone look stupid.

I think it would better to hold a steady rev instead of releasing the throttle everytime you swing. It will maintain the engine momentum. The load on the engine is more when the blade is in the grass.

I think that because the original machine doesn’t meet the power requirements. It was too weak against that bushes
Curved shafts aren't meant for brush blades, if it even fits you can snap your cable if it hits something hard.
Chainsaw engines are more powerful than weed eater
But what about the chain lubrication from the chain saw itself?

I think it would better to hold a steady rev instead of releasing the throttle everytime you swing. It will maintain the engine momentum. The load on the engine is more when the blade is in the grass.
