yes yes the yapology!!! i loved so much your insights so far and how much you picked on because this show is so good and there is so much telegraphed through acting, body language, and set design... ❤
this is soso good!! i love your insight into these characters and the story!! im still halfway through the video but just wanted to thank you for all the work you put into this
I always thought it was obvious that Lestat never attended the trial for revenge or out of anger or hatred. He left Louis and Claudia alone for all these years, despite being able to locate them at any point if he wanted to, so why only come back for retribution now? I just knew, the only reason he would have answered Armand and the coven's call would be because they threatened Louis. And then I read the book, and I find out Armand starved and tortured him to get him to cooperate, and even then Lestat resisted 😭😭
The tragedy of Claudia is that she was never the first choice. When they killed Lestat, Louis chose him over her by letting him survive. Lestat chose Louis over her when he forced her back from the train and when he stole her death from her, both of which he did in the hope of keeping Louis at his side and happy. Then again, Louis chose Armand over her when she joined the coven. And even with her teue death, Lestat chose to save Louis over her. The only person who ever put her first ended up sentenced to death with her. And thw thing is, I know Lestat would still choose to save Louis over her if he had to make the same choice again. If he had to pick between the two, Louis will always come first.
'...When you were using drugs, Mr. Molloy, do you remember the best you ever had?... _Berkely, 1978, some Mexican black tar that Carly and Pedro were slinging._ ...So imagine that flowing inside your veins again. Now, multiply it by miles to the rings of Saturn and back...' YEAH. That's EXACTLY what it felt like when the notification for this dropped.
I love this! Thanks for understanding how exceptional this show is and posting such a long video about it! I have no friends who are into it so it’s refreshing to hear another in depth take on it. 🖤❤️🩸🦇
