This is a brilliant and soulful re-imagining of a terrific vintage Dylan song. You've managed to cast the mood and feel of this song into your own voice and make it your own with its own integrity and wholeness, without imitating, compromising, or eviscerating Dylan's various recorded versions. By the way, it had a slightly different beginning when Dylan first sang it: The version on a very old bootleg recording I have goes "The streets of Rome are filled with rubble / AJ footprints are everywhere / You would almost think you were seeing your double / on a cold dark night on the Spanish steps."" AJ" referred to AJ Weberman, an obsessive self-described "Dylanologist" who followed Dylan around, went through his trash, and tried to imitate his appearance. Dylan edited this out of the song when he published the lyrics.
Full disclosure: I cooking away in the kitchen, hit the vape pen occasionally and this song comes on. Wow! Gave me goosebumps.! Thanks for the music folks!
Bob Dylan is such a great song writer. Great cover from you guys. It was also nice hearing Cleveland on the harmonica again. Thanks for more wonderful music and sharing your video. Until next week!
So glad I ran across this. You folks are talented and I love that rendition. I'm going to check out the channel, so I hope to find the band is still a going thing.
So glad you found us!! We offer a new acoustic #SundayShoutOut every Sunday and tour playing electric and acoustic shows! Looking forward to seeing you around!!

I was looking for Dylan covers ...and I found your song (and your SugarLimeBlue channel)! Great covers and songs there. Go on ... and maybe perhaps with a new Dylan cover?! ..... What do you thing about Shelter from the storm :-) ... Claus
Thank you! We have done a couple other of Dylan's and we try to space them out so since this was just 2 weeks ago, it will probably be a little while, but I have a special fondness for the "Desire" album myself.... I think "Quinn the Eskimo" was the most recent Dylan before this one....
Hey Sugarlime Blue, Thank You for the ShoutOut, One of my All Time Favorite 🎵 🎶 Songs.. ! Right Beside I Shall be Released. ❤

My favorite Dylan tune and y'all killed it! Loved it. Thanks for the video.
I like this Dylan song a lot too, but I might even prefer the Band version....
