Thanks! As these cars get older I recon we’ll seem more of this on you tube. Working on the next video now. It’s a bonus video as I forgot to upload the sequence of removing the wings. 👍
Nice work! You are into it deep now! After cleaning all that up it would be hard for me to want to even want to drive it in the rain! She is going to look good!
Definitely. That would be cool. The community is pretty thin here in the old ‘East’. I am pretty sure there will be outstanding work by the time it goes back on the road, but if I wait until I get it all done… it will never be done. If you see what I mean.
@@My911 I totally get your meaning. I always say, it's as fun to work on them as drive them. As long as you are enjoying the project, you are doing it right.
Hi, I missed some episodes, since you dropped the engine out. I was rather surprised to see every thing stripped out. How many hours work do you anticipate to get everything back together and working ? When do you hope to get the car back on the road? My 996 (jan 1998) will be going for preventive clutch , gearbox AVM, IMS bearing replacement and changing the rigid brake line over the gearbox, also all flexible libesin January. I have finished changing shocks and all suspension arms front and back, engine AVM's so I hope after this will be good to go for some years. Rubber after 20 or more years is just too old. Happy new year and good luck.
Hi Paul, sounds like you are doing a lot on yours. Will be a great drive when it’s done. With mine, I can’t tell you how much time it still needs. There is a potential to address every last little issue, but that is not really feasible. I am aiming to get it back together for the spring.
Paul, I just realised with your comment that I missed some content out between episodes 5 and 8 where I remove the front wings. I am in the process of putting that together now. Thanks for letting me know. 👍
My god, I haven't seen anyone doing this before, well done. Looks like bloody good fun but so involved. Can't wait to see the next video.

Great video mate
Thanks dude.

Thanks Rick. No rain. No way. 😀
@@My911 hahaha. I wish you were closer. Would be a blast to get the 996's out together this summer!

Happy new year to you and your family mate.
Thank you. You too 👍
Thanks for recording the effort. For our experience, can you strap on a headlamp for those dark crevasses that plague us all :)
Hi Matthew, I hear you. The lighting in there is pretty poor under the car. I’ll see what I can do. 👍
