Without question, the way you display what you are teaching makes it so much easier to follow. Showing the scale, then having the notes change color in real time is the only way guitar should be taught. Idk where it started, but if it's your idea Copyright it immediately!
As we all do know , all music is about feeling and especially the feeling in blues ! My very first music lesson was free and very simple ... If you don't C-sharp you gonna B-flat ... It's still very true !
Least complicated most detailed lesson I’ve come across yet. I’m a visual learner and these moving patterns simplify everything for me. super helpful, thank you!
I feel like I just found the motherload! Your display finally clicked with me. I’ve watched some of your videos in past including some of your John Mayer breakdowns. I don’t know why, but some reason I just couldn’t complete the lesson correctly. However, today I seen all three patterns and connecting them. I’m can not thank you enough. I am now Subscribers and future customers thank you
Just found your channel, I've been playing for 40 years and I feel like I've learned so much from just a few minutes of your instruction. Really awesome, thank you!!
Please do a lesson on the BB King Box. You are awesome and I am sure the lesson would be very good. How the box mixes the major (which shape) and the minor (which shape), and the combination with degrees and note examples. Thank you so much!
I just wanted to say, Excellent video! I loved your presentation and the way you had your reoccurring hot spots in each key. As well played for us some ideas, then gave us a chance to try our own. Thank you for such an organized video
Love your work and style. I’m enrolled in another intensive course but love your videos. I’m going to start there as I’ve been playing guitar off and on over five decades and really never learned scales or anything. I performed all over the globe as a solo act and mostly rhythm guitar in other cover bands . I understand the way you teach and its PERFECT for me . I’ll look into what is convenient for both of us . Much continued success. ❤
This is great, love the visuals you provide with the fret board, keep the great content coming!! This is such a great lesson for new ideas, thank you!!
POW MUSIC, The Minor Pentatonic box#1 has the albert king house of blues box, also the BB king House of blues box. The MAJOR Pentatonic box#5 (which looks just like Minor pentatonic box#1 just 3 frets shifted down ) also has two extension House of Blues Shape Boxes, which you should make a lesson lesson about them because Clapton uses them often in Cream ere and SRV used them in tin pan alley and little wing. The two extension house of blues shape boxes aren't the albert king or BB king house of blues because we are now "shifted 3 frets down" , so the albert king house of blues and BB king house of blues have been "shifted 3 frets down" which SRV used in little wing and Tin pan alley plus Clapton uses them in Cream live concerts.
Question: when is the "Soloing for Intermediate players" coming out? How the "advanced soloing?" I'm working on the beginner's, but I'd like to know when I can advance.
Hallo as a long time guitarist i suggest You - After learning this simple basis - to listen to the top blues guitarists and learn directly by them, having reached familiarity with this scale Will be more affordable
Could someone please let me know what tuning this is in? I’m in standard right now and it sounds nice and all but I think tuning my guitar would add a bit of a touch. Tanks.
The chords confuse me more then the scales I play individual notes proficient but can't get a grasp of how chordes tie into the scales and how to play those chrodes well on the guitar my left hand always feels weird trying some. Open chords I'm good but idk those sharps and flats can be confusing

Couldn't agree more, so helpful.
Thank you!

Are you able to do these videos for James Jameson Basslines?
Thanks❤
What a great video! Slow mo, clear tab, theory, the whole package!
Thank you!
You've heard of the house of blues
Now get ready for... the boat of blues
Love it!
Liked and subbed. Awesome!.
Fucking absolute master class buddy. Thanks man!

Thanks Narwall! I'd recommend heading to the fretLIVE Fretboard Mastery Program after the Beginner Soloing Course!!
Now im seeing these 4 to b5 to the b3 1 everywhere, also there is another house of blues in the first position
Need the voodoo blues scale if you are in the know!
Yo man this is amazing!! Any chance yall know of someone that does something similar but with saxophone ?
I don't - but that would be awesome!
Could someone please let me know what tuning this is in? I’m in standard right now and it sounds nice and all but I think tuning my guitar would add a bit of a touch. Tanks.
Nice lesson but it would be better if the fretboard diagram was the same way around as your guitar neck.
It is drawn as you see it when you play.
The free scales download in the description is unavailable
It’s working for me when I click it
ATTN: Only the CAGED PDF is downloadable, the links for the Pentatonic Scale Shapes and Diatonic Scale Shapes don't work
That’s weird / both links are working for me!
@@PowMusic the pages open but the download links on them don't work, one button is inactive and the second one has a page doesnt exist msg
@@PowMusic I switched to Firefox and managed to download them, they're pretty good, cheers
The links didn't work on Opera for whatever reason
Can be used for both minor and major, right?
absolutely! In major the blue note is the b3 which is really nice
Please please I'm begging, we need a video on bleeding heart Jimi Hendrix
One of my favorite ever recordings!
Coulda thrown in the 6th on G string 11th fret. Minor major bb king box fire
Wouldnt that be 2 out of key notes? Seems odd. But also I have no idea because Im a beginner.

Why do you look like Eminem? ^^ Great Tutorial :)
Genial
Something tells me you been researching Slash licks
I’ve actually never really checked out slash but a lot of people have been telling me to do so…
@@PowMusic modal interchange, major to harmonic minor with tasty blues licks centered around the blue note is what Slash does best...
What's new here , I'm confused lol ? This is the normal scale patterns position 1-2-3 ---
Everything is new to everyone at some point.
i wish you also add major scale too..
Your good, I can see that, but does your house of blues have a back door, or windows to dive out of in case, you know who comes home?😂
Heres the thing i know the pentatonic but cant seem to make it sound musical....sigh
