An Em pentatonic scale is a G major scale. The E is the relative minor to G just as A is to C etc, count down 4 notes to the minor from the root. But Major scale requires changing scale shape when changing chords. Play like Dickey Betts and you will get it. Good luck

After watching your "Music Theorie" series on YT a couple of weeks ago, I took our old children's guitar from the attic and started playing and exploring as suggested because your explanations already making sense to me! About Eleven days ago, I signed for your beginners course and it's simply wow! The main reason, that I'm quite confident to get it right this time, is your unique way of explaining and talking! Please start talking for ages about everything you want if you like, because I'm sure there is so much to lern from, it's highly entertaining and sometimes it relieves the pain at my fingertips a little! Don't know why people are complaining about you "talking too much". How else are we supposed to learn if you don't explain?
These a probably the same people who think theory is for dummies which is because these things are beyond their understanding whilst they're stuck playing powerchords & old tabs & convincing themselves that "theory is for people who can't play".
On the contrary theory is for people who can play & want to learn how to play better still. Videos like this are excellent for that purpose, thanks & KEEP TALKING 😁

Whoever said that you talk to much is wrong. I've always enjoyed your videos for years and never once did I ever think that you talk to much. As a matter of fact, that thought never crossed my mind. Keep making videos the way you want to and if some people don't like it, then they can go take a long walk off a short bridge.

      Probabilmente pentatonica di B-

Go for minor. Major is good mainly on the tonic chord

Mixolydian. The 5th mode of the diatonic scale. The notes are the same as the major scale but with a flat 7
for example C ionian or c major is
      C D E F G A B C
      C mixolydian is
      C D E F G A Bb C

Entering the 4 and 5 chord, target a chord tone or arpeggio licks ( or even the major blues scales of those chords) then go into the minor blues scale of the 1 chord as the chord changes.

Listen to Miles Davis' All Blues for a related idea. He plays G7 for the first 4 bars, then goes to G Dorian for the 5th and 6th bar.

Please do not change how you deliver your message. It's what separates you from the other guitar drones.

Paul, you strike a perfect balance between talking and playing. I never find myself wanting to fast forward past and unnecessary jibber jabber, which I do on many other channels, so you must be delivering the essential information I need to listen to, process and apply. Thank you!
