For real the greatest lesson I have received. Your lesson not only gets me to memorize fret notes and a scale, but also immediate access to improv. Dang, well done.
I have watched 20-30 different "teachers" on you tube for hours and I honestly believe that you have given me more valuable, clear information in 10 minutes, than all other COMBINED. So glad I found you! Thank you so much!
your form of logic distinguishes you by light years from other teachers. This type of teaching comes from your deepest knowledge of what a beginner is. A lot of academic guitarists say - well, now we do 20 easy blues exercises for beginners and I almost break my fingers doing it. Born out of your logic, you slowly introduce people and increase the pace in a perfectly acceptable way. I once took 10 hours practice lessons before i stop it, from an Austrian top star in the early 90s, his talent was terrific, but an egoist cannot teach, because looking down is the wrong level. you love what you show, thank you very much, i learn a lot from you!
I've been learning the blues for over half a century! Without question this is the clearest simplest best delivered lesson I think Ive ever had. Thankyou so much. Regards P
Jules, why didn't I find you sooner but so glad I did. The blues are where my passion is and while I still am only a beginner your lesson here is clear, straightforward, simple to understand, perfectly discribed and shown. The progression from 4 notes to a complete use of all 6 strings is, well to me, magical. This will be something I play with and expect my blues playing to actually become music!! Thank you
A very clear lesson which simplifies what so many complicate! Stopped this at 1 minute 30 seconds and had the best jam ever over Am Dm Em with this new knowledge. Thank you. 🙏 I’m going to watch the rest! Finished it and possibly the best pentatonic lesson I’ve come across! Well done.
That's ridiculously clear and easy to follow, I'm sitting in my car with a travel acoustic practicing it and jamming along to you as a beginner, you made the slide over so much easier to understand and its place, I could never resolve it before, the leading with the third finger makes so much sense.
All comments are so favorable and deservedly so. Absolutely the clearest, most instructive practical lesson to the blues I have ever experienced. Accelerated learning at its best. Look forward to many more.
Thanks for all your efforts Jules ... I have fallen in love with your lessons, and have watched the entire "Tutorials" playlist. They are so clear and concise. Thanks again mister!! 😀😀
Jules I’m 58 yr old new guitar player . I’ve been playing for a year and 3 months and If people don’t complement you on how easy you make playing blues and guitar they should and I do. I take you easy ideas and just expand on them. I play about 6 hours a day and take a few days off a week . My journey now is connecting the fret board and learning music theory as I go. Thanks for the help. Wish you lived in North Carolina (Willmington) need a great guitar teacher.
Dude you truly have a gift for teaching. I just discovered your channel and your way of teaching is outstanding. You make complicated topics look so simple. Thank you!
I usually just play rote learnt stuff and don’t know how or why it works or fits together. As a result, I can’t jam or improvise. Thank you for your excellent video. It has changed my playing so much. Subbed. 😊
Ok I know this gets said on every guitar video. But after going a lot of teachers I have come to the conclusion that your videos are top of the pile because you get to the point and show simple exercises that I can then progress myself. THANK U
Jules! I just wanted to drop by and let you know that I really enjoyed watching your video. Your presentation style was simple and effective, and I loved how you incorporated a blues rhythm in the background throughout the entire video. It really added to the overall experience! I wish you all the best in your future endeavors. Keep up the great work! Eric.
This is BY FAR the EASIEST and BEST introduction to playing scales I have EVER seen! I started learning guitar as a teen but never got past learning a few chords and memorizing favorite songs from TAB. I ALWAYS wanted to create my own music, especially solos, but always found the instruction complicated and it would put me off. The way you teach, with visual aids and examples along the way, made it not only easy, but FUN! I’m SO happy to have found your channel, and will definitely be back for many more videos! Cheers brother!
Your teaching method is on point. My guitar playing has improved over the last week due to watching and playing along with your lessons. I had hit a roadblock and now it's gone. Thank you.
I’m stuck and have been looking for something to advance me to the next level of playing and not just this video but so many others you have show so much and now I have a scale I can practice and run it up the neck, Marty is perfect for songs but you are the guy I want to learn off of, songs are cool but to put your own work in is my ultimate goal. Much appreciated here in Chicago!!
The best video I've seen so far on how to take advantage of the pentatonic scale. The idea of further simplifying a scale that is already simple is excellent! Thank you so much. Greetings from Argentina.
Very happy to watch this (and even more) videos featuring these boxes you discuss here.. i end up learning something from all your videos on this topic. Thanks for sharing and happy to watch more of this any time!
Thank you very much Chief. I agree with you, It is not how many notes we play, but how we play it. How we vary: Intonation, bending half note or full note, timing, long and short, slide-up, slide-down, hammer-on, pull-off, soft, loud. How we play. And never forget the pauses (silence between licks).
Dude! I just started looking into the Blues and this video has made all the difference as I was impelled to search out A minor background tracks. What an instruction, clear and straight at it!
Jules, thanks for taking the time to create this video lesson. This is very well explained and gives me a perfect tool to start developing my blues chops. Much appreciated!
Honestly thanks to you I am enjoying your tutorial videos and I feel unstuck and I am enjoying the guitar even more… I have other guitar players I follow on You Tube but hear lately your channel is the only one that has kept me captive.. You have opened up my eyes and ears so much these past couple of weeks… Thank you so much Craig
I’ve watched a couple of videos and I like how you start the scale in small chunks as it were and then add an extension note that the player can slide into another box. Brilliant! Playing a simple solo with four notes-brilliant! This really helps the older player. I’ve signed up to your Patreon account to move things along.
Thank you for these great videos. They are really well constructed and thought out. The effect being they get people enjoying playing with confidence. Brilliant work
Thank you Jules! I like several different genre's of music; rock, blues, folk, classical and try to play just as many types. But I usually find myself coming back to blues. I appreciate the way you explain the theory behind the notes on the fingerboard. Great Job!
Thanks Jules. I knew most of this from one of your previous videos, but can't wait to learn those licks. Its alright knowing the notes, its another thing making them talk. Thanks again for that solo.
Friggin magic 😳👍. Thanks for such an easy & inspiring lesson here . Practice and more practice is in my immediate future . Really enjoyed this one . Thanks
If this isn't perfection Jules, then nothing is. It allows Newbies to jam along with an A minor backing track right from the get-go, first of all using just four (or two!) notes and then adding notes (and knowing which ones to add!) as proficiency grows. And before long, three positions of the minor pent are being used to create solos. Many thanks!
You are by far the best guitar teacher on youtube.. Great explanations, great diagrams and easy to follow demonstrations on how to play and finger. I've been struggling for years but have had the "Aha" moment watching your videos. Thanks Jules
Great lessons. You have opened up the guitar in a simple but efective way. I will cancle many of the subscrptions I have used in the past. I was a bit confused looking at the fretboard examples having the nut on the right side and looking like I was looking at your guitar not like so many other sites with the nut on the left side. Now that I understand I love it.. Old Guy trying to learn new tricks.
My beginner blues soloing is finally taking shape thanks to your lessons but I believe this is the perfect cherry to work towards - thanks so much for all that you do
Wow, I'm really happy I found this. Now I'll maybe actually pick up my guitar once in a while. Without looking for a much too difficult song to play first. Thank you!
Now that was a good lesson. As a new sub I don't think I've ever seen pentatonic explained like this for blues. Not only did I like but this will be shared. Good work Jules!
Man I’ve just ran into your channel I’ve been playing seriously since covid lockdown I just wanted to say I’ve learned more from watching half hour of your pentatonic miner class. Your camera angle is what I needed so I can see exactly what your fingers are doing. So as you can imagine I’m now a subscriber. And I really look forward to learning more from you. Thanks so much man. Take care. Colin. London.
This is completely fantastic. I'm new to the real spirit of guitar. Still my fingers are pretty slow. I can make a really good blues progressive riff. But you've made it easy to understand. Staying in one place is ok, but you move it all around. That should really make playing enjoyable.
Your lessons are so clear and concise, without the excessive chatter of some online lessons. Keep up this valuable channel!
The best 14 minutes I've invested in learning playing guitar
true
For real the greatest lesson I have received. Your lesson not only gets me to memorize fret notes and a scale, but also immediate access to improv. Dang, well done.

It`s like a light bulb has come on - brilliant demonstrating in a way other teachers could learn by! Thank you.
Thanks man, you're one of only a few who can actually teach and not just offer word salad!! Please keep them coming...
Jules I’m really appreciative of your lessons which are clear and concise. Great work! You’re an excellent tutor

I've been learning the blues for over half a century! Without question this is the clearest simplest best delivered lesson I think Ive ever had. Thankyou so much. Regards P
i have been fooling around with the guitar for over 25 years. thanks to Jules i can finally play a blues solo. thanks mate.
What a lesson! Well done sir, wish I knew this 20 years ago

@@JulesGuitar A brilliant lesson, thanks Jules. I think I know what I'm going to be working on for the next decade! :)
You are certainly in the top 3 best guitar mentors I've ever come across on youtube. THank you so much for your content.

I can't believe how much I have learned from you in three videos! You are the best teacher on youtube!! Thank you!
This lesson is outstanding and just what I've been looking for. It has gotten me away from sounding like I am playing scales.
All comments are so favorable and deservedly so. Absolutely the clearest, most instructive practical lesson to the blues I have ever experienced. Accelerated learning at its best. Look forward to many more.

@Law14704 Well said!! 🖖

It's so refreshing to see a video, no frills just straightforward advice.
Thank you Jules
I've been playing for a while, but going back these basic shapes and exploring them again I find so much I've missed. Thanks!

this is the best blues lesson out on the internet...
Wow, another great, well organized lesson. Thank you.
You have really helped my playing!
YOU ARE BY FAR THE BEST GUITAR TEACHER I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED HERE IN YT PERIOD!
Keep uploading my guy!!!!!
You are an incredible teacher, very easy to understand and a lovely calm but enthusiastic style. Thank you so much.
You nailed it! Thank you! A lesson that’s easy to learn on how to sound good soloing with notes in the A minor blues scale played across the neck.
Spent hours playing with this great lesson!
Your playing and teaching skills are awesome.
Wonderful, one of the best explainer videos about Blues Scale I have seen so far
Blues theory distilled with so much instantly usable aplomb......Keep it up Jules and many thanks.

Once again, this was an amazing lesson. Fantastic teaching
Was a little confused for a bit by the diagrams ,most I’ve seen depict the neck the other way up ,great lesson….Thanks
That was great...You make things that I've always thought beyond my skill level seem so doable...Many thanks...
Great lesson, thanXs a lot! (Greetings from Isenbüttel, Germany)
This guy is amazing, my guitar 🎸 play (training) motivation is entirely from this guy.
THIS GUY DESERVES DONATIONS FROM EACH OF US.
Now that was a good lesson. As a new sub I don't think I've ever seen pentatonic explained like this for blues. Not only did I like but this will be shared. Good work Jules!

Best lesson that I have seen on how to play the blues thanks.
Your teaching is excellent... thank you for sharing knowledge🙏🙏🙏
Sounding great Jules! Thank you for sharing your knowledge,...Have a Merry!

Your lessons are really very helpful and full of valuable resources to learn. Keep it up.
Excellent lesson Jules, your videos are absolutely the best 😊
Your making it simple to understand. Thank you for this lesson!
Hi. Am really inspired. I need to backing track for practice. Thanks
Very easy to follow. Thanks for the diagrams....super helpful.
Muito diferente aprender blues com você. Aqui, no Brasil, existem bons professores, mas o seu "feeling" é maravilhoso. Obrigado pelos ensinamentos.
Very interesting how you present your style. Very nice. Love it
Just a perfect lesson. Pacing is great and very clear.
Awesome way to put all this together in a clear way!!
