Hi Spence! Love all of your videos :) A few questions for you: Do you have to deal with any pests in the lighthouse/on the island? What is your favorite and/or least favorite maintenance task to perform? What's your favorite book that you've read on the island?
Thanks for the questions! Other than the tiny flies that come out in the summer, there are no real pests. Wildlife is really minimal here so not too much to worry about.

My question to you: How Internet available there, like from direct satellite or mobile towers? what are the speeds and how much it costs? and from where you learn your video editing?
Currently my internet is cellular which is LTE speeds for 50 gigs and then they slow me down to 512mbps for the remainder of the month. As you can imagine, I do go through a lot of data. I am looking into getting satellite but the install is so expensive, can be over $2000 to send someone out to install. All my editing is self taught and I use Filmora primarily as my editing software.
Hi Spence, love the videos so far. How are you getting internet on the island? Seems like you have better internet speeds than some people I know if you are able to watch TH-cam videos without issue.
There is a company in BC called Xplornet that offers satellite internet. It is pretty good at 10mbps for the most part and decent for TH-cam, Netflix or pretty much anything I want to do online. Since it is satellite, they are good to use at any of the stations on BC provided you can get a clear signal with your dish.
hehe the pizza delivery, I wonder if you would get it free because it definitely would take over 30 minutes lol yes like I posted in previous videos I would much like to work this job even without Net access I think I could adjust after a few days .
Plenty of books out there to read. One Keeper I know uses a Library program and has books sent to the station each month and then returns them in the mail. Good to keep up to date with what is being done in the book world.
