Another great overview. I always look forward to these and find them super helpful. As an avid 2k23 designer, while also not an IRL golfer, your perspective really aids in my courses and I usually keep what you have to say in mind when I'm designing. I specialize in fantasy-style but I've been trying to ground them a little more in reality where I can. Thanks for taking the time!
no problem! Just want to help as many fellow designers as possible with my knowledge! Also i find more enjoyment out of making relistic courses, i like designing my stuff for real players and not so much for the video game.
@@duffdesigns hey man, love your videos. Any other tips you have for a new designer trying to recreate a local track as their first course? I worked grounds there in college and played it a ton, so for me it’ll be a fun project, and I’ll be able to add some visuals/plants I thought would look great irl but the upkeep made it unlikely
-Make sure you’re on the home screen and in the main menus of PGA Tour 2K23 -Once here press the Options/Menu button on your controller -This will then take you to the Settings screen -Scroll down to the Cameras option in settings -Once in the Cameras Screen go down to “Auto Instant Replays” -Then toggle them to “off”
Good Review m8 .. You know what ya on about :-) i got an old course im gonna publish soon... its a rooftop design... something different thats fa sure :-)
thanks! and that course sounds really cool, I'm guessing its a big fantasy build. If you want you should send over the course name when your done with it
@@duffdesigns actually I just tried playing on master and it was very difficult. So I could see what you're talking about. I'm big on fantasy courses. Check out my course lost dunes if you wanna play a fantasy course and critique it. Very challenging. Course record is -12 on master level with a 12 mph wind. Was unreal.
Always enjoy your reviews

You should check out me and my friends co design Lake Osaka (East), Japan
ill add it to my list
It's a fantasy course on a video game not real life. The real life courses on the game are so easy and boring.
Completely understandable, to each there own. I just prefer realistic design
