Yesterday, my 11th grade History teacher was listening this when I came into the room. I asked him which song it was, lying that it sounded familiar when I felt nervous to say that I really liked it, he told me the name and I listened to it on the way home. Thank you Mr. Cook
You're teacher must've grown up in my era....this song came out when I was in 6th grade and I remember waiting for it to come the radio so I could record it on my cassette tape. ❤
Jesse G Hey there Jesse G, when you think about the 90's, so many great tunes came out in ALL styles of music, hip hop, pop, grunge, dance, trip hop, punk, rock, jazz, yeah I miss the 90's as well !
God me too. Why are people so into trite garbage these days? All facade and no substance and that's a completely objective statement, say what you want.
I first heard this song when it was new in 1996, and I was 14. I bought Fever In Fever Out because I liked this one song, and wound up loving the whole damn album. LJ deserved much more exposure than they got.
Whenever I hear a 90's song it instantly feels nostalgic. Especially this song. I was born in 1995 so I didn't really get the change to really experience the 90's that much since I was a baby at the time but part of me wishes I knew what it felt like since I have a very strong connection to 90's music. It just sounded so much better.
The 2000s still had some late 90's era songs playing on the radio. Grew up with this along with a plethora of other bands with unique sounds and styles. It's a shame we've decided to call pure sewage music.
Vivo en los suburbios de México y no pude conocer esta canción hasta que tuve internet por primera vez en 1998 gracias al programa Audiogalaxy y el mundo de la música se me abrió.
i remember hearing this on the radio, now I realized they clipped it, so it would start the acapella right before the beat starts . . .part of the corporate "time saving" Awesome song,
I bought this for my mother in 96...I just thought she would like the song I liked it and I listened to rap and grunge of the time ... she's been dead for about 15 years now and it just came to me as I woke up like she is speaking to me.....
My friend Joe Mason tells me he used to smoke Djharm ( clove? ) cigarettes & sit around in a darkened room listening to Luscious Jackson & watching the original Geiss screensaver collection(s), of which we both agree that thd Lissa Jous Squares are the most awesome, followed shortly thereafter by the Lorenz Attractors. For, not just hours, mind you. For *days* at a time. The one time Joe invited me over to watch with him I was all prepared to give him the "Joe, we've noticed you seem to be depressed," schpiel, but then I smelled the clove cigarettes. And THEN I saw his glorious 27" ViewSonic display, the Geiss patterns spiralling through infinity, to the beats of Luscious Jackson. That's around the time I stopped assuming I knew what people were going through, and the last time I ever thought trying to tell Joe Mason his business was anything other than my own conceited tomfoolery.
Holy cow! Finally found this song! I've been looking for it for like the last 5 years or so! lol thanks to google voice... forget soundhound and any other bs app.. should have just used google mic from the beginning!
I remember this song from back in my High School Days God Bless This Band for a job well done and BTW, I use to listen to this song on Casey's Top 40 w/the late Casey Kasem Plus, this song was out when shows like California Dreams, Living Single, Friends, ER, In the House, Sparks, Sister Sister, Disney's Smart Guy, The Wayans Bros., The Steve Harvey Show, Family Matters, Step By Step, Boy Meets World, Sabrina: The Teenage Witch, Hang Time, Home Improvement, The Nanny, Frasier, Caroline in the City, Seinfeld, Suddenly Susan and WCW Monday NITRO on TNT were still on the air Plus, Michael Jordan once again RULED the NBA on NBC
The best version . This should’ve been on the album instead . The main chorus at the beginning kicks better than the version that starts with the riffs and drums
If you guys are looking for some new (or old) tunes, be sure to check out my playlist, "Gen X Mix"; it has all the good stuff, including Luscious Jackson. :)

I would kill to wake up in my 1992 self but still be my 2023 self with the full knowledge and experience of me now. Oh boy, what I would do.
I'm only 14, and I feel like I'm in the 90's. This is a good one.
I miss the 90's

Lol, for some odd reason I always liked that subdued clanking sound in the background of this song. It adds a vibe to it that I can't quite explain.

ooh I don't have this version.
Does anyone have the other songs that were on the original single for this song? If so PLEASE upload them!
for the longest time I thought this song was another masterpiece from GARBAGE and kept looking for garbage naked eye. glad I know who it is now
One of the few 90s songs that I really liked.
