Great video, Jared! Very humorous! Needs to be a bit tighter to be more comfortable! We can see there is still too much sag ( but we are sure you have figured that out by now!) ;)
Thanks! I don’t think I could have ratcheted either of the 3 ratchets a single ratch farther than I ratched. I think there’s less sag than you think you’re seeing 🤷♂️😂
Really enjoyed that, I think reviews of things like that tent by a regular person can be a better measure of customer satisfaction than someone who specializes in that business. I'm thinking of getting one of these for my canoe trip through backwoods north western Ontario. Since it's bear/wolf country and I'm going solo I'm also planning to bring my telescoping step ladder and set it up 8' off the ground.
Thanks! That sounds like an awesome trip! I’d love to do that one day. 8ft sounds good until a 10 ft bear pops his head in that center hole and grabs himself a human buritto 😳😳
I had family come with me so I wanted to be present with them vs filming the entire camp out. But the tent worked well! Hopefully I’ll get to camp up there soon and make a video. I’m still mad at the mountain cause of that ceiling Sheetrock 🤣
I bought one 4-5 years ago I think. I've used it a few times here in Florida. Park rangers were kinda confused about it. Very comfortable but I definitely needed a sleeping pad to keep from waking up freezing. Also saved the day when it rained. With the rain fly on it, about 8-10 people were able to stay dry underneath and continue socializing. Bought it on Touch of Modern for $499 or $599. Beware that site/app is a luxury compulsive buy pit of despair. I wouldn't recommend buying it because of the price. You can get crazy big tents that are much more useful. This gets too much attention from passersbys and well. Kinda gets annoying lol.
It looks cool, but I cannot fathom what the advantages of this are over a normal tent. Infact, it seems objectively worse (except for the cool factor).
Advantage 1 over normal tent: camping on the side of a mountain with zero level ground. That’s really the only reason i bought it. Our mountain land doesn’t have great level tent spots so with the tree tent we can have level sleeps.
Advantage 2: you aren't sleeping on the ground with your backproblems. Advantage 3: less of a chance of ground insecta getting in or poking a hole in your tent because you set it up on a sharp rock or stick Advantage 4: Keeps you pff the ground from bear or moutain lion Advantage 5: ***AND THIS IS IMPORTANT*** If I get up there with a rope ladder, I don't have to let my wife in my tree fort with me.
@@kadampavan yeah. I feel like there’s not enough competition in the tree tent market. It’s probably that expensive because it has to be pretty heavy duty and structured right so people aren’t falling and getting hurt and suing the company 🤷♂️
Man I can’t tell you how stoked I am that you’re making videos again!
A good video. It’s looks spacious. I ordered the Stingray today so hopefully enough room for 3 of us.

im considering having my mother sew a piece of kanvas over the floor hatch to make it more comfortable

@@TMPK not to worry it’s just black bears in that region and they don’t get much taller than 6’. I’ll be back for more TPK.
@@TheSfoil haha oh you should be fine then. Another win for the tree tent!
Funny thing is whether it's woodworking or any type of videos I'm digging whatever your putting out bro. Keep it rolling.
Thanks bro!
That's a sweet tent. I think you need to start editing my videos. Haha
I barely have time to edit my videos lol
Never heard back on this post trip? Is the review after the weekend why you purchased a cabin? :D

I think you have to ratchet it tighter. I know a guy who has a 2 person and he said ratchet till you can’t ratchet anymore
Is the mesh casing detachable?
Only the 3 doors unzip. You can’t turn this one into a triangle trampoline.
that sasquatch scared me
😁

What is price of it?
The cheapest I’ve found it is $650 USD
