This is SO moving, touching, wonderful. I'm not into heroes at all - BUT she's my hero :-)

Shes never stood there watching a little girl brutally raped and murdered. she's watched a killer executed and that is so different. She says killing a convict doesn't help heal. Well, she's wrong, my daughter was tortured, raped, murdered and dismembered. It helped me so much when he was executed.

It is extremely presumtuous of Sister Helen Prejean to tell anyone what will or will not help heal their pain. I find her to be one of the biggest moral idiots I've ever heard.

I am struggling in my life.
I want to help the Lord save souls and voice myself about how killing isn't right in any form. ..
I struggle with some of the crimes they are so heinous. but I stuck with it. it's healing to for me.
the glory goes to God when I say I want to help save ppls souls and sanity. my family thinks am crazy. maybe i am.
I'm sick. I have a bad hand in my health but what is so crazy is its healing to me, to write letters in the death row support program.
it's the most -moving forward -thing I have ever done.
it's not easy sometimes if i think about the crimes convicted of. but ,even struggling in the dark with it at times, the light is bright and I follow it. God can forgive what we can not fathom to forgive. we learn from these experiences.
it's healing to me mentally and physically.
sister Helen you're a bright light on earth. I commend you and also Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins for their very moving, eye opening version of what happens.
when I was young I was pro capitol punishment. I watched that movie when I was a young mom.
back then, I didn't have as much of the empathy have now.
my sister in law deleted me from Facebook because I am in the DRSP - she looked up my prison pen mate and I have been through so much lashings over doing this because of the crime my person is convicted of .it's very bad but God forgives if our heart is pure when we ask.
i believe many ppl who are innocent have been killed. especially in the past when the gallows pole and the firing squads and lynchers were about prominently. they are coming out of the woodwork again .this hateful and vile country. the entire time.claiming to be of GOD.
    my pen mate says this,
he told me in one letter
"I am going to die by this state for my sins"
and to me this means he is accepting God into his heart. and what he did .
i am appreciating the opportunity sister Helen has made possible and written about to show us what really happens , and sister Rachel in Indiana for the DRSP .
it's changed my entire life and ways of thinking.
    one more thing
    not to write a novella.
but how can ppl be pro life and support capitol punishment ?!
    explain that.

She is actually right. If a person is truly right and is sorry then forgive them and let them live in peace instead of destroying them

Notate come l'enorme chiesa cattolica americana sia piena per meno della metà per sentire sister Helen - Mi vengono in mente quegli enormi meeting in cui parlano Billy Graham o Benny Hinn (od altri simili) con 50.000 persone e passa !! .....

Sister Helen is a good woman of god, the most ardent supporter of the death penalty, or Richard Dawkins, should accept that comment as true.

Sister Helen....Have you ever had a meeting with the governrs who support DEATH PENALTY?....It would be so great if you could change their minds about .....doing justice for the victims....What kind of justice is that....?.....The only purpose for supporting death penalty is following eye for an eye....This is so wrong..
