Just today I got Subway coupons in the mail and took one to my local Subway. It was for a classic footlong at $6.99. The problem was that the coupon did not work. The counter girl told me her register said the coupon had been used already so the sandwich cost me $14.29. As a senior I have thought about this all evening and finally called that store. I made it very plain that if it happens again they can keep the sandwich. I'm also going back to that store when the manager is there and telling him the same thing.
I received the same coupon and knew better to waste fuel and time to get disappointed so I just called multiple stores close to me and none of them accept them which makes me wonder why the corporation bothers wasting money sending them. Sure, they have the right to refuse the coupon to be able to charge twice as much but I also have the right to never eat there again and that's what I will be doing.
You also need to investigate Subway for stealing your money when you use the rewards program. When you use the $ off, they later take that money out of your account in a separate transaction. There is no way to contact anyone in charge of the franchises either.
Good to know that this is happening elsewhere. I'm in northern MS and the previous owners/managers of the only Subway in my town DID accept the coupons, both in person & online. The new owners/managers do NOT accept the paper coupons and up until last week was also accepting the coupons online. I haven't been able to order online with a coupon for almost 2 weeks now even using the correct coupon for my order. It now says something to the effect of "This location is not accepting this coupon. Please select another location." When I do that, the nearest Subway that accepts coupons is almost 20 miles away. I have been a regular customer at the location in my hometown for almost 2 years. The coupons got me in the door and I often ordered other items. Guess I won't be shopping Subway anymore, which is disappointing b/c I have Rewards on my account that I will not be able to use.
What I do is if they don't take coupons, I order the Sandwich anyway and then try to use the coupon and when they say no I leave. A wasted Sandwich cost them more than a discounted one
Here's how you handle this Subway situation, order your Sandwich the way you want it, go to the register, pull out your coupon and if say they don't take the coupon, say okay. Fine, I don't want to Sandwich then, now they lost a sale and the sandwich, screw them.
@@TommyTomTompkins they want make money off franchising the Subway name but don't want honor Subway promotions. If they were not making money they would not be in business. It's just greed and the Subway corp. Should not allow it to happen. If you think that any crappy footlong sandwich at subway is worth 10-14 bucks then you get your head examined.
I’ve always had a love for subway since I was a kid. And I don’t even try coupons because it always ends up basically coming out to the same regardless if I do or don’t. I still remember the days of the 5$ footlong and now I pay practically $14 just for getting extra cheese, not meat, but extra cheese. But I love that Italian bmt so much that I can’t help myself sometimes. I’ve always been loyal to restaurants that provide that kind of consistency but $13-14 means I’m gonna go there less and less
I definitely see Subway going out of business. I think they (Subway) should be boycotted in Memphis. I live in Texas now and the Subways here or atleast the ones by where I live take the coupons. I'm going to ask today just to make sure. But I believe I've used coupons at both locations. This is just my opinion
@kmir224 Oh, another trick, if they have that scanner facing out towards the customer. Don't say nothing. Just scan the barcode on the coupon and the computer will automatically use it. They might cancel your sale afterwards, but that's on them.

Investigating the tough stories!
It's a tatctic because some people will still pay full price, cause you already made the trip. i personally won't

so why do we get coupons in the mail when every single Subway I've been to does not accept them?

They did it to themselves 🤷
I live in Dallas. No store would take coupons
Just make your own sandwich
Yep spend about $35 on all your products and you'll have some for a few days instead of paying $11 for one sandwich
I ain’t got time for that
And corporate wonders why they're losing customers. It's that same reason why I've only visited once since February 😈
I won't miss Subway one bit.
City of Ripon Subways don't accept coupon since pandemic. Ever since I started making my own sandwich
Stop eating at these places. They just keep going up in prices. Giving less. Support local family places if you can.
Boycott subway
Her tongue tripped and fell on the word thirteen
Covering the big stories! But I heard about this in a neighborhood group I am in today, a true scandal!
There app never works too
If I was a struggling subway owner I start accepting Dave and Buster tickets as payment.
my subway does not except coupons if i wal in. but if i order online the coupons work.
Always works for me
where at? they never work for me in northeast Ohio
@@kmir224 here in west palm beach florida
