Yes.
Can I connect the cable from the internet provider directly to the mesh router?
And another question, can I connect it to a router (idk if it's a modem) and connect it to the mesh wifi? Please help me out. Would be great if I get a reply by today.
No you cannot connect the cable from ethernet directly. If your ISP provides a Modem or ONU.
Connection diagram is -
Modem OR ONU Ethernet Port > Deco M4
For Ethernet Backhaul
Modem OR ONU Ethernet Port > Deco M4 (1st Deco) > 2nd Port of 1st Deco > 2nd Deco Ethernet Port
How long is the adapter cord?
Around 1.5m long
Hi Ashutosh,
how many devices have you connected to this mesh wifi?
Did you experience a network lag or any other kind of issue you have experienced?
Finally, how are the speed and network consistency in day to day life?
Thanks in advance.
Rajat Sharma I have connected 14 devices and checked the speed time to time and I found no issue.
For better understanding you can check the speed test video of this product in my channel.

I am from rural area and planning to take BSNL optical fiber connection. Can I use this?
Yes. Ofcourse.
In my home I am using BSNL Fiber.
Presently BSNL is the best internet provider in India.
Very stable Connection, no fluctuations.
The new Fiber Basic ₹599 Plan is the best which gives you 60Mbps till 3.3TB then 2Mbps Unlimited and Voice Calls totally free Local and STD.
Bro, got 3. Can i buy one more and add to those 3?
Yes, you can add.
Just remember to add to your current network while setting the extra router.

I have made the video for this device also. Do check that out and you will get all you answer.
Do you experience timeout issue when pinging to gateway? Can you share the hardware revision number for your deco m4r? Mine was Deco M4R v2 and it is terrible. Timeout issue occurs every 4-5 seconds when pinging to gateway. Firmware is updated to latest already.
EpicUnboxTV Mine is V2 but I don’t face any problem like that.
Ashutosh Thakur lots of user complaint in tplink forum though...random ping spike and timeout.
EpicUnboxTV It depends on your internet service provider too. I haven’t faced this issue till now.
@@AshutoshThakur007 The problem is i don't have any issue if i swap back my old dlink-842 router, ping was all good & not a single timeout.
@@EpicunboxTV Try to update the firmware on all the Deco. Then check the Ethernet Wire you are using. I would suggest Go for CAT 6 Ethernet cable for better performance.
If after this you are facing the issue then contact TP Link and get the Device replaced.
Hi Ashutosh
Thanks for this informative video,
A doubt: Does this 'saves' PPPoE username and password or it works like an extender only?
I have ACT internet service
1. Yes it saves PPPoE. (See the setup video again properly you can see their I have shown)
2. Yes it will work with ACT Internet Service.
This Mesh WiFi System is not a WiFi extender. It is a proper WiFi Router with extra nodes which provides a proper WiFi connectivity through the home or office where it is setup.
my 200mb broadband only gets like 30-40mps... any ideas why?
Which internet provider?
GOOD JOB. THX
You are welcome
Hi @Ashutosh.. I have a jio fibre connection and a 2500 sq feet home. Same floor. I just came to know about mesh wifi.
I am bit confused which Mesh wifi should I buy.
WiFi 5. Not WiFi 6 as my need is only for regular home usage.
Appreciate your response. Thanks in advance.

It is covering my 2000Sqft Apartment totally.

As we switch of Satellite Router(Secondary Router), its leave the connection .again blink red color ............how?
Why do you switch off the satellite. It should always stay on.
And if power outage then it takes few minutes to come back online and connect to the main router.
Is it need to connect internat connection from main deco to 2nd Deco??
No. It happens wirelessly
@@AshutoshThakur007 Can i connect all 3 via ethernet?
@@omprakashsahu4798 Yes but for that you have to buy a multi port LAN switch.
And you have to connect serially.
1. Modem to LAN Switch
2. LAN Switch to Main Deco
3. LAN Switch to Second Deco
And so on for perfect connection.
@@AshutoshThakur007 can i just connect all 3 to the main router lan ports?

Will there be a part 3 ?
Yes. I have a Part 3 special for Speed Test in and around my house.

Is it possible to change the password of my wifi?
Yes. You can change WiFi name as well as password.
Bro i heard this router can reach upto 2000 feet a single pack, then why is my deco m4 unable to cover this range???? I'm having issue with lower range
Your placement is not correct. You have to install it in the middle of the house not any corner. And also depends if you are using any other wifi device.
No bro, i don’t use any other Device, I only use smartphones, but range doesn’t reach satisfactory, i get around 10 to 15 square feel range around me and after that it lose signal strength and link speed also..
And my deco m4 always select busy channel, it never selected channels like 1/6/11 which are called non overlapping channels in Bangladesh, can't select channel manually, I'm depressed using it since last month, i think i did a mistake buying it.
