Yay, Ziggy was accepted by a herd, Pete was relaxed enough to give grooming sessions, you got unstuck from the car and wrestled the round bales successfully, Tiny didn't become a pancake (twice!), and the mountains are visible again! What a perfect start into the weekend! 😍❤❤❤

Just in case you havent seen it check out her video where the 'boys' get out of the fence. She narrates (with thought bubbles) their conversation about how to sneak back in without getting caught. Its great and I think probably accurate rofl.

That country is beyond description. Beautiful! Zingy is such a sensitive soul. He needs a true horse friend. You spend much of your time like a kindergarten teacher trying to make sure the boys are getting along. It’s quite a complicated social structure. You are a great problem solver with a lot of patience and a good sense of humor.

I just found this channel. I was wondering if she was familiar with Steve Young Horsemanship. He is so good with teaching a horse not to be afraid of people. With a confident person like he is with horses it isn’t a long process at all, just hours.

Loved the trail ride. Back in 1957 thru 1962 i was i guide on trail horses that were up for hire... Loved being able yo feel like i was doing it all again what with you videoing while on Ziggy he's great... Id keep if he was mine ... Wish I could make hum mine, at 81 id be getting around lots better on him then i do by myself... Give him a big hug for me please❤

Did you see CC's short entitled 'The 3 Amigos'? Brilliant .. 2 versions, the first has great music.
CC. Put a ratchet strap tight on the bale first then attach the tow strap. It should keep it from slipping. Be careful. Ziggy looks content. ❤

It's not like CC is just going to hand him off to whomever. His forever home is probably with a human that has the time and ability to take him on lots trail rides and give him all the love he wants
I know Ziggy would be happy in the great home CC picks for him. But I want him here, with all of us.
@@toddylu6869 CC wouldn't be CC without saving, rehabilitating and finding forever homes for these horses. Its the whole cycle of doing any sort of rescue and rehabilitation work. It's easy to be selfish; Ziggy is a wonderful horse, but at the end of the day CC needs room to help out other horses and she can't give Ziggy what he fully deserves and needs.
I watched this 'live' just because I could, for once (I'm in England, so timings) & then came back now, 5:15 here, to enjoy it again. I bet your muscles ached after all that wrestling with huge hay bales, + other chores you do every day anyway.

This one brought back so many great memories! At that time we needed 150 bales of hay for 2 horses and a pony for the winter. We bought from 2 or 3 different farmers; whoever gave us the best deal! They would deliver, but we had to unload the truck and stack them in the barn in 2 empty stalls. It was a great system,except for the time we found a rattlesnake evidently caught up in a bale! Of course all was fine after we killed it! And, please no negative comments about us protecting our horses and dogs from getting bitten! We had a terrible time treating copperhead bites to ever allow that to happen again!
CC, your work ethic is amazing! I hope you.plan to take Tiny with you when you move!

I have come to LOVE Ziggy. I had an Arab colt yearling that I got at a Scottsdale well know Arabian Ranch. They had an extra large number of colts one year and I was able to get a very normally expensive line because they had so many the prices were affordable for me. His name was Karfade . He was so beautiful, but I came to realize he was too much for me to handle because I was just as "green" as he was! I had my Mexican farrier work with him so at least he was halter and lead broke. I enjoyed his beauty for months as he folicked about my 2 acre 6 ft chain linked desert lot. I already had an appendix quarter that was an excellently trained trail gelding who had grown up following his Mom on the South Mountain Park trails in S Phoenix. He was cactus savy, jackrabbit savy and I swear he could hear or sense a rattlesnake from a long distance! He was so sure footed on the rocky and sometimes a bit treacherous trails but he knew them well after following his Mom at liberty for two yrs or so. The guy who owned him was a real AZ cowboy, old fashioned as all get out. Whatever he did with him as he grew up worked and when he finally broke him to saddle, again most of that involved those trails. So when I bought him for 400.00 I really got a deal. He was a very handsome buckskin and had very good hoofs that were jet black and seemed to be impervious to the rocky trails. They were so tough, most of the year he could go barefoot, only when it was super hot and crispy in the summer, the farrier advised shoes and I think he used whatever shoe would give the best fit to go on those rocky trails. Never had any problems with his feet. He was a handful when not on the trails, I had about 1/4 miles from the bottom of the trailhead to get back on the dirt road to my place and sometimes he would get pretty rowdy on the flat, he wanted to run and a few times I lost control of him and he went like a race horse all the way to home. I fell off one time and it was a duzie of a fall, I was at the chiro for two weeks before I could walk right! He had a way to clench his bit in his teeth and that was what caused the lack of control. He was a stinker as when we would reach home he would stop as fast as a rodeo horse and turn his head and stare at me with those twinkling eyes as if to say.....whats the matter, I had fun, didn't you! Years of trail riding all over the very large system on the South Mountains are great memories for me especially the camp outs in a cave that faced the whole valley of Phoenix with views across the the Camelback mountains and at night the lights were like a huge box of colored jewels! That was back 40 yrs or so and whenever I let those memories play, I feel a peace and it calms my mind. The Arab never made it with me, he was just too much and I ended up giving him to a neighbor who already had Arabs and knew how to train them properly and boy did she. He was really a beautiful guy. She did not Geld him until he was almost 4 so he muscled up nicely and that is what she wanted as often she would trailer her guys up to the Flagstaff and Rim country for endurance rides. So, yea, Ziggy may not be a "Scottsdale" highly bred Arab, but he would have been more the type I should have looked for! The recent trail ride on him I just fell in love and wished I was there as well. I am really hoping you find the best fit when you rehome him. He is a good boy and he deserves a nice easy and loving retirement.

As much as Ziggy doesn’t want any confrontations he surly wants to be friends with SOMEBODY. So glad for him that you found the right grouping! It was obvious that even though he had access to his hay all day, he just wanted to share it with someone so he could be close and feel accepted.
On a side note; I don’t know if anyone read the article about the Olympic equestrian flag bearer from Ecuador and his horse. He qualified for the Olympics but didn’t pass onto the finals - but… He purchased his horse for $20!!! He said that nobody wanted to put up with his extreme playfulness but he was willing to give him the time and love that it took to turn him into an Olympian. It reminded me of you, CC, and just goes to show what can happen when you give these unwanted horses a chance. Love, patience, and dedication goes a long way.

So very happy for Ziggy! Been waiting for this longer video since I saw you're short with the three boys and was trying to figure out who he was with. Also happy to see Peet grooming with Goose, so I know he's not lonely without Big Gus! Yay for Ziggy, I was so sad when it didn't work out with Skeletor and then Frisco Bill either! I so love Ziggy! And, happy to see so much improvement on Studman's food aggression. Means he's healing not just physically, but also psychologically from his past trauma and starvation. Well done!
