How long are you required to work in the warehouse or as a package car driver, etc before you're eligible for cdl training? And how often does that list get posted... once/twice a year, every few months?
@@MisterUnpredictable Just depends on the building your in and your seniority. Not really an exact time frame. For me I worked part time 3 years before I went full time in delivery. Then after 8 years of delivery I decided to switch to feeder. It could happen way sooner that was just my personal approach.
@@universaljaycreates Congrats on starting the training bro. You coming from part-time package handler or what? How long did it take to get selected for cdl training?
Wassup bro! I stumble across your channel. I got a road test with UPS next week. I apply for a feeder position. Any advice on anything? And is a feeder a night job position?
That’s wussup bro definitely good luck with that!!! I would say man just take your time during the test and just have the confidence in your self and you’re gonna kill it. There are day runs as well just all goes by seniority and where they need you at.
I’m 21 , started working for UPS @19 on August 15th , 2022 ; exactly 3 months and 3 days away from turning 20! Now I’m 21 and just had my 2 yr anniversary with UPS! Located in Houston, Texas! Local 988! Currently a pre-loader but I’ve been looking into feeder ONLY bc I love to work by myself and drive a lot ! Any tips on trying to get into feeder? I’ve been told feeder driver can take up to years to get into it and is an old man’s game ! But like I said I’m 21 and If it’s possible to be in feeder within my 20s I’d love to !
Ay man congrats on the 2 yr anniversary!!!!! As far as feeder in which you probably already know since you work for ups it’s all a seniority thing. I’m 33 and did delivery for 8 years before I got into feeder but that’s just my journey. You could get in sooner you never know. I would just keep at it and every time you hear or see them put up an interest for feeder sign it even if you don’t think your gonna make it.
@4xman288 I was seriously considering joining up but that's would be a serious drop in pay for me. I have 6 years on the road accident free 2 years doubles experiance
Most ups buildings/hubs should be already starting to hire for the holiday season. Just start with trying to get in seasonal if need be just to get your foot in the door.
@@UNBROKEND OH gotcha, I know some of the big buildings will hire off the street Just have to keep applying. We’re I’m located it was just based on seniority I was in delivery for 8 years then when a spot opened up for feeder I was able to just take it.
@@UNBROKEND I just know in my area we have some smaller building and then there are some larger ones. In like PA,MD,Jersey etc. I’m not really to sure about Texas. I would just check the area to see how many ups buildings are around you.
What’s up man, Watched the video cus it came up on my page. I really liked the shots you did hooking up to the trailers etc with the camera set up. Maybe if you can find a way while editing, to talk over those clips to describe what’s going on, so it’s not you sitting in the truck as much. The driving shots were neat as well. If you can’t talk over the clips you could speed up the segments with you hooking stuff up etc to shorten the video a tad. Just ideas but great first video.
I wouldn’t say they would fail you may just deduct some points. If that’s how you was trained then just do it however your instructor told you to do it. I just know when I went through it. They didn’t want us to do that, it could totally be different were you are.
Go for my road test for feeder driver up in Connecticut on Tuesday! 💪🏾💪🏾 💯 Stay safe out there!
Ayy congrats and good luck brother!!!✊🏾💯
Nice video bro keep them coming, I just applied for a feeder position in my town.
Thanks bro appreciate, I love it man definitely a great move.
first week in Cdl training school for ups looks amazing man💪🏽❤️
Appreciate it man!! Hope everything works out for you.

What’s up boss how long have you been at ups inside the hub and now driving??
Wussup man been there 14 years all together been driving 9 years.
😮😮😮
Is the equipment manual ?
Just used a manual during training and to get CDL A. After that in a automatic 24/7
Hi, Do I get to choose the shift when I first hired??
When you start you would be kinda the low man on the seniority list so they would just use you where ever they needed you at.
UPS feeder driver? You doing food delivery too?
Nah no food delivery.
Im confused why the feeder offer in Minneapolis is advertising $23 per hour like what is this a joke?
Union pay scale starts at $23 per hour and then you top out rate of $49 per hour in 4 years
Yeah I’m not sure why they are advertising it like that.
