Guiding Light: Character Profiler - Tony Reardon

Today we go back to the decade of the 80's. Tony came on the scene in the early 80's and spurred on some major mysteries of the time from Eli Simms to the Barbados mystery. Even though he carried a lot of story while on the show he was only around till the mid 80's. His true love was Annabelle and they are a rarity, as far as we know they are a soap couple that are still together! What was your favorite Tony story?

Tony Reardon is one of my all-time favorite GL characters. He was also, possibly tied with Kelly Nelson, the sexiest man ever to live in Springfield. I wish he had stayed on longer.

I recall on a 1982 or 1983 Guiding Light episode, Tony was arguing with a woman. The woman slapped Tony's face. Tony said ''Ok...'' he then grabbed her by the arm, pulled her towards a chair, sat down, put her over his knee, wrapped his leg around the back of her legs - to keep her from escaping - and gave her a good, hard, spanking.

You got a few facts wrong. First Annabelle came to town before Nola and Quint's marriage (@1:39 Tony and Annabelle are in period costumes for the his sister's engagement party May of 1983). You didn't touch on any of the many ways Tony helped his family especially Nola by working with Quint to rescue her from Silas. You should check you facts better.
