Future NSFs, trust me on this. when you are in there you have 0 adrenaline and excitement for anything. Imagine 34 degrees and wearing long 4 in boots and helmets. Sweating and drying up and sweating again. Only thing you'll be thinking about is go back bunk and shower and change admin attire. All these BS is meaningless to you.

IMO if you are passionate about this and know that this is what you really want then go for it. That said, military service will definitely be a challenge. But my advice is to train up first. If you can do that. Then you should be ready to take on this challenge. By training I mean buying the kit and actually train in it, familiarize yourself with the equipment.
