Just breathtaking, you luminous creatures. I have longed for an all-cello Bolero for a lifetime -- simply stunning, I can't thank you enough. Now if one of you lovely personages would render a single cello version of the menuet from Ravel's Le Tombeau de Couperin I would die an indecently happy man.
I hope somewhere in heaven Maurice Ravel gets to hear this performance. It would make him rethink on the beauty of this piece he learned to hate so much!!!

Desde que conocí esta pieza cuando era muy joven (hace muchos años)... me impresionó como la melodía se repite reiteradamente sin que el oyente quite la atención de lo que parece que va a llegar. Un advenimiento que podría ser en el universo físico o en el espiritual. En muchas ocasiones lo escuché repitiéndolo varias veces. Y siempre quedaba con ganas de oírlo mas veces y por supuesto se me quedaba por horas en la mente y cuando iba por la calle, caminaba a ese ritmo con las mirada puesta en el entorno, esperando que algo bueno sucediera. Este cuarteto es muy bueno. Lo hace muy bien. Creo que lo voy a volver uno de mis mas... más... mas favoritos. Gracias a James Barralet

It tells a very different narrative of love, passion, treason, deception, hatred and revenge Ravel wrote after a terrible passionate relationship he had, that finished very bad. In the end, his lover is killed with many knife strikes. Sorry. 😔
STUPEFIANT! Infiniment moins monotone et lassant que dans l'orchestration de Ravel, et, musicalement parlant infiniment meilleur, plus imaginatif, plus charmeur, plus envoutant.BRAVISSIMO! Il fallait l'oser; l'entreprendre, le mettre au point, l'organiser... Ce dut être un travail très délicat. Certains ont dû considérer prétentieux ce projet dans lequel abondent pourtant expression et nuances.... Quel fut le nombre de répétitions?... et les ajustements, les contreverses? Je n'ose l' imaginer.
