It's funny how those who used to earlier list out 100 faults about Canada, who used to advise newcomers from choosing Canada, who used to claim that they would themselves prefer to return to their homelands have now become so very desperate to hang on to the country.

Well, people are not agitated towards the immigration. It's the quality of immigration under scrutiny. We need medical professionals, Engineers, Trades people, teachers, scholars etc. Not some puppy mill diploma holders who's using student visa as a PR pathway.

It’s not even the quality but it’s the quantity that’s the issue. Even if it’s only doctors who came to Canada but 1 million of them came during a year, there won’t be enough housing, resources and jobs to accommodate them.

I came to Canada as a landed immigrant. I welcome those who are honest about their intentions but the vast majority of international students knowingly make false statements in order to get that study permit. Once they complete their courses and their PGWP is about to expire they then demand an extension. The basic issue is honesty in the international student application. I hope the Minister stops all PGWPs except for those skills essential to Canada. Everybody else needs to use the education they acquired and make their home country better. Use express entry if you want to immigrate. Stay home if you don't qualify.

Canada ministry said : "We don't need you, " . ..means, we need your money. 😅😅😅 You paid your fees now fu_k off 😅😅........ .studying in Canada gives extra point for PR, is a scam to rob the poor people to pay college fee around $15,000 per year. These college and courses standards are so low that even Canadian don't study their, but Canadian government give them affiliation and Visa for this scam colleges. And Canadian approved immigration agent go in the rural India and convenience poor students to sell their land or borrow loan to study (these scam college or even 90% University courses does not meet the market standards) and get PR ( that rules changes like a weather in England)😅.
Combination of study visa and point for PR, is method to suck the money out of developing countries.
Indian government should take following steps:
      1) setup a department to verify the standard of Canadian universities and courses.
2)ban the Canadian immigration lawyers or agents.
      3) No, loan to study in Canada.

Canada has, for decades, been in the top 10 of safest and least racist countries on planet Earth. Plus prosperous. Now there is a new negative spin that most Canadians do NOT deserve to a high degree. People must look at both sides.
Since 2020, international students have been flocking to a educational system that many Canadians now feel was used by many of them as a loophole-to-immigration. Students utilizing schooling as a back-door (not front-door) ticket to living in Canada. Swarming a 50+ year tradition/system that was not not NOT designed to be about EVERY international student INSISTING on receiving Permanent Residency. Plus it was not designed to be primarily about students demanding lengthy work permits (& spouse permits etc.). Canadians have clued in that Canada's post secondary education system has (in 5 years time) turned into what many are now jokingly calling EDUGRATION. An extreme not approved by everyday Canadians.
What about Ghost Consulting that Canada told India to halt? Canadians want greedy foreign agents to stop marketing & lying to their own people about access to PR or citizenship … or accommodation/jobs … in places like Canada being relatively easy. At best, there is a 20% chance of PR (better odds if career is in HIGH demand).
And what about all the YT videos that primarily Indian nationals have posted (for half a decade now including today) all advertising Canadian PR like they're selling a product? Promoting Canadian visas & permits & schools & jobs etc. etc.. Videos not only posted hourly but rarely in English or French. With very very rare input from Canadian-born citizens.
Plus Canada didn't have numerous PRIVATE 'diploma mills' until 40% of international students were from India. Coincidence? Mills that Canada is shutting down. AND the bulk of them are near Brampton Ontario and Surrey B.C.. Coincidence? Canada is now compelling ALL schools to report to Immigration whether a student is attending school and complying with permit requirements or not. Were Canadian public colleges & universities greedy too (while honest)? Sure. But the Canadian government stepped in and slowed them down too (like a trustworthy government should).
Are most international students truly scholars who came to Canada with enough $ to support themselves while STUDYING? Or economic migrants, who borrowed $ to buy their way closer to the head of the immigration line? To say all the students or their consultants back home have not been at times 'gaming' Canada's education programs to gain western PR or $ is ridiculous. Students have contributed to Canada's housing CRISIS and lack of entry jobs because 90% conspire-to-outstay a TEMPORARY permit.
Canada wants to help people, but not when it contributes to severe home unaffordability and a recession. If 36,000,000 Canadians travelled to India, since 2020, with the goal of being able to stay there permanently, that would raise India's population by 2.65%. Recent asylum seekers crossing into Canada… and international students... have raised Canada's population higher than 2.65%. More needing healthcare too (affecting waiting times etc.).
What about the IELTS spouses? Anchor babies? Fraud? False asylum claims? What about Canadian food banks & other charity services being recklessly advertised on YT in Indian languages? What about Canadian housing being scooped up en-mass as investment vehicles by/for internationals? Home rental/boarding signs stating "vegetarians only can apply". Indian nationals buying local businesses then putting Indians only in key positions (while also drastically changing work practices that include working more hours for less money). Plus BC & Ontario are outlawing the Caste System.
Then throw in the Sikh vs Hindu violence/extortions across Canada. Diasporas stirring up tribal hatreds (in Canada) … even though it all stems from their ancestral home. How can peace be found anywhere with this in play? Plus the Canadian government recently launched investigations in regards to foreign interference in Canadian elections, stemming from Asia continent. Canada also had to end flagpoling at the border.
In recent years, Canadians everyday are having to worry about their automobile being stolen by auto theft rings. For just one example of what Canadians see regarding this new concern, research; "arrests in connection with $9.24M Toronto-area auto theft ring". In addition research; "Gold stolen in Canada's biggest ever heist ended up in India". Plus credit card fraud schemes … and major scams involving foreign call centres.
Canadians are so so so not used to all this. So many, who have embraced multi-culturalism and immigration for decades are now worried/fearful. All are praying it doesn't turn into anger. Canadians want multi-culturism to succeed and for all people (including immigrants) to be okay. Everyone I know is VERY happy with IRCC's recent changes (reductions & multifaceted investigations etc.). Including multi-generational long-term Asian Canadians MOST upset (by all of this).
Canadians are aware that some wonderful students/humans are going through hell. And know Canada is partially to blame which is awful. But Canada decides what needs to be done in Canada to prevent further pains. Do you see Canadians protesting in other countries (that is not their own) making demands for themselves? No. Do Canadians now see primarily Indians protesting in Canada making demands? Yes. Protesting because they don't have the credentials to stay in Canada. And because rules designed to protect CANADA are not meeting their desires/demands. And why isn't there repetitive crowds of African or Caribbean or Filipino etc., students protesting & waving their flags? They're in Canada too.
Did international students and their families pay into Canadian taxes ALL their lives like domestic students have (earning cheaper tuition fees)? No.
Did Canada force internationals to move to Canada as a STUDENT? No.
Did Canada promise/guarantee PR? Or a job? No & no.
Yet do they only blame Canada when they can't get PR???

I think that international students are the best source of immigration, at least better than refugees from mysterious countries. But, the government should proactively be picky when they issue student permits. In recent years, so many unqualified people have come to Canada on study permits, lowering the general study experience and the quality of education. Canada deserves better people.

If Economy would have been doing good, there was no housing crisis, Citizens weren’t angry, then sure, it’s logical to convert TRs to PRs, because would have already assimilated with Canadian culture. (Which hardly ever happens 😄)
Now since this is not the scenario, Any govt will first put their own interests forward. Easiest solution for them is to let a bunch of TRs go, because country has no obligation once work permit expires.
Note: I am not even getting into behavioural issues, and the refusal to assimilate.

The government needs to clarify that parents sponsorship is far from guaranteed and there is no timeline. Increase in supervisa length and H&C program often being manipulated to get parents PR have only created more false sense that parents can move to Canada permanently. A visit is not 5-7 years long. Canada can’t take care of current population so adding so many more seniors is a disaster. Would be best for people to know before immigration that PR for parents not guaranteed.

Now the same wrong kind of people are been flooded in Canada bringing their politics, conflict , work ethics , problems here . Cant show our anger in election too because no government care about citizens . I will see politicians more concern about Palestine, Israel , Ukraine, Russia , india then the country they are citizen of. Thousand of refugees getting free money we all know they are not real refugees. International students suppressing our wages . They are victim too but not Canadian . Canada needs to prioritize Canadian first .

Canada economy is oil and natural resources export based economy. As the world move towards Renewable, Canadian economy will shrink. Canada does not produce anything, most of things comes from USA. Same like Nepal , most of things comes from India.
Price has to do with supply and demand. You have two choices either build more houses that will create more jobs....or...... cut the demand, that will lead to recession later.
At average cost of get Permanent Resident in Canada is around $100,000. So, if people move to other countries after Canada they are giving $100,000 and their 5 to 10 years service or tax of their life with very less medical support (because most of them come and go in their young age.)

It isn’t the immigrants that’s the issue but the massive numbers of immigrants is. Canada’s population grew at the highest by 3.2% in 2023, which is unheard for a developed country and it should never be. It’s putting a massive strain on housing, public infrastructure, jobs etc. while the living standards decline. If immigration was brought towards a more sustainable level, then people will be happy. This current level is good for neither Canadians nor immigrants.
