thank you so much for your help, with a ten year old boy starting out the free intro classes rally help as I am sure you know kids can change there mind anytime...but your lessons have him gripped to learning and are so clear and simple to follow and all the links to resources help at this stage. I hope we continue to progress to the point where I can pay for a course so I can give something back to you, I am sure we will as your approach to teaching has a lovely flow and ease to it...I love learning from them in order to help him and I dont even play the saxophone!...so many many thanks and I am sure you will be part of joe's saxophone journey ahead...thanks Matthew
Such a wonderful message, thank you Vicki! I started around that age too. I hope he keeps it up! Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns about his progress. All the best! Alex
@@SaxophoneMasterclass thanks Alex, and we will reach out to you as he progresses....we home school as Joe was and is to shy to go to school ( various things) but he finds himself and can express himself by art and playing the saxophone and a complete love of all music. we just bought him a better saxophone as its clear he is going to stick with it.....yamaha 26 so I think when a little older he will commit to a course...in the meantime I feel its best to let him follow your TH-cam lessons and let him learn a few songs that you put up and /scales/notes ...and improvise...and of course technique!...want to keep it fun for now as he plays every day without prompting from us. so thank you Alex for your sharing as you are the best we have come across and dont even bother with others ps. I dont know if you have considered this but for those not actually doing a course I ( such as us) f there was a donate system for you time/energy and knowledge people could contribute to??
Thanks, invaluable information... I used to play the clarinet as a kid so getting oriented to the sax 60 years later has been a challenge, this is awesome it may seem trivial but so so important stuff...
This is great sir Please did you have the reed on the month piece when you blow in the warm air into the saxophone. I realize the sax didn't make a sound just the air.

There's actually a "thanks" button on every video where you can contribute if you feel so inclined! How is Joe getting on with the sax these days?
Thanks, Alexander. I love doing scales but this info. will make it even more fun.
You’re welcome, glad it was helpful!
You could do a video on all of the ways to avoid squeaking especially at the beginning of notes.
Great idea James, thanks! I'll be releasing a video on this soon :)
