I was recently diagnosed with pcos and they told me to basically go keto and i was like this is not sustainable. I need to find something else. So thank you so much for sharing this ❤ its super helpful
I feel more boring too 😂 but it goes hand-in-hand with taking more care with my body, finances, relationships etc... and like you said! When we're young, we're trying everything for the first time - as we get wiser things are less surprising/exciting. I've never thought it that way, but good perspective.
Loved this video! Also have you ever tried to make cheese sauce out of puréed butternut squash and nutritional yeast and maybe a couple other things (like seasonings)? I have seen a few video recipes but have yet to try it. Might be worth a shot! ❤
Just found your channel while looking for some meal ideas and isn't it funny how Canadians can spot Canadians? haha I was watching and was like, I bet she's from Canada (because of the brands you are using) and sure enough, you are! We are on completely different coasts though, I'm in Nova Scotia
Do you actually use Vegamour? I saw that they use harsh alcohols in their products that are scalp damaging and cause more hair loss😮 I immediately returned all my products
I definitely am a high protein person but I don't eat more than twice a day as I do intermittent fasting. I have-never felt better and I have more energy and my numbers are great (just had labs completed). It works for me - and it's sustainable as I've been doing this for quite some time. I don't eat junk food or sweets or sodas or anything that isn't healthy as I don't want it. I don't think I have had chocolate since......hmm I don't have a clue. Years. To me sugar is poison. Anyway loved the video and hugs to Tika!!' ☺️😊❤️🥰🦩☀️🌴☺️😊❤️🥰❤️🥰❤️🥰
@@KyraSchaeffer Why would I when I eat healthy. By the way I'm 5'8" and 121 -122 lbs which is what I should be for my age and activity level. Most people eat way too much especially here in the USA where obesity is a major problem.
Apparently you aren't supposed to count your collagen towards your daily protein intake. Not sure how accurate that is, but I have seen a bunch of health gurus online mention it.
its an incomplete protein since its missing the amino acid tryptophan. I'll often have eggs or dairy in the morning which are good sources of tryptophan so I count it. Pumpkin seeds and turkey are a great source as well but all complete proteins have tryptophan. As long as you're getting these in your day you should be good :)
Hi I'm trying to lose those pesky last 15 pounds (5'3 and went from 118 to 150 during covid) and I started lifting seriously last year but did not change my diet at all because this shit is so overwhelming and I've been vegetarian my whole life so getting protein is TOUGH. when you eat 100g of protein per day is it with the intention of bulking? Would you be able to also share any vegetarian recipes you've found with lots of protein thankssssss
Just an FYI, Collagen protein doesn't count towards your actual protein intake. This isn't a complete protein and doesn't perform the same function as whey protein or protein from food.
Yeeeesss! I love your “what I eat in a weeks.” I been watching old ones again to get serotonin 🥰

Animal fat and animal protein is best for all body functions.

The vital protein can be purchased at Costco and Walmart in the US. Just FYI. Costco is the better deal.
Happy Women’s History Month, Melissa!❤

Love your what I eat in a day/week. I’m trying to get more protein in as well. It’s a struggle. Appreciate all the meal ideas.

Hi! Do you eat carbs or do you limit or avoid them?
I think they are doing the next love is blind in Canada. Would you go on if it was Vancouver??
Dune 2 was SOO good!
I loved this video, please make more of these!❤
Love those pans Melissa where did you get them from?
A couple eggs is not 27g protein. Typically it would be 6g each for standard size eggs. Js ❤
the 27 is for the collagen latte + eggs :)

Try pickled beets! I also really want to try sauerkraut beets
Can we have the sandwich receipt?❤

I'm not vegetarian, but cooking and blending red lentils can make a big protein difference. You can add it to a lot. Also edamame to snack on!
