My son is finally playing the game and he's is so hooked on it. He plays it every day once his school work is done. He just got to the island so he's excited. Rumor has it that they are going to be adding new content to the game including more adventures on the island.
As soon as I heard him say he's playing RDR2 but hasn't made it this far yet my first thought was "holy shit I hope they kept this scene spoiler free for him" because it would suck if this spoiled it for him.
@SharkTank I mean we know that he's gonna kick the bucket before the game end you know, I don't mean to be rude about it is just not really a spoiler if you think about it, Hosea like a mentor, like all mentor characters like Iroh from Avatar and Jiraya from Naruto, and they all have the same fate, even Luke from Star Wars episode VIII. So yes its still a spoiler but not that bad of a spoiler, in my opinion

Two things: all of Arthur's guns that are on him are visible in two holsters and two long guns on his back. Also, Saint Denis is the biggest city in the game and has a large police department, and is currently being backed up by the Pinkerton Detective Agency, though I agree it's still way too many officers
@@TheLeaderX1 I think that was after the Civil War? One of the side effects in the years just after a war is the large amount of men with military experience getting back out. Not that they necessarily become mercenaries, the majority just wants to get back home again, but it's a possibility.
Not only is it a big city, its a major transportation hub. With trains and ships constantly coming and going, they can get reinforcements fast and would make it a priority to close the docks to prevent the criminals from going overseas.
Okay, so my guess is that he’s in the 1st chapter. He didn’t react at all to Hosea being held at gunpoint, he didn’t even know that guns do show on your person while you’re holding them.

I heard or read somewhere that you didn't generally carry your firearms into buildings or towns during this period of time. You'd have to stop by the sheriff upon arrival and check each gun in and leave them there until you left town.
He said that he wishes the guns were visible on you, but they are. every gun you wear is visible on your character. Two hand guns on your hips, and two rifles of your choice on shoulder and back. On the horse you can carry as many as you want though.
About him talking about the modern vs past chances to escape the cops. The simplest way to phrase the question would be: "Is it easier to get away in the middle of nowhere or in the middle of everything?"
I really appreciate that you cut out the spoilers! I played through the story last year, and had it spoiled, and that ruined my day. Thanks for not having that happen to others!
It’s funny, cause one of my main tactics for getting away with things I shouldn’t do is act normal about it. Like talking about a sensitive topic. I don’t whisper or yell, I just talk and act casual. By doing something with purpose without being actively/overly sneaky, most rule breaking can happen with no one batting an eye.
I know I’m late to this, but it puts a smile on my face to know that a “retired I think?” SWAT COMMANDER is playing games like this. The kid in me in practically bouncing up and down.
I like how he keeps saying "Red Redemption" and they keep correcting him. Haha, it's a pity he had to react to something that he hadn't yet played through but it made for a good video.
@@darkone7344 Yes and I watched it. He posted a playthrough after this video. He hadn't yet got to that part as he said. But in reality he hadn't even started the game at the time of filming this.
I love horses, but he made a good point, if you don't want them to make a getaway you could always shoot the horses, or at the very least have someone lead the horses away and surround the building so the criminals don't have easy access to any means of fast escape. And fantastic points about escaping searches, as long as you break sightline of the immediate pursuit, and manage to keep moving further from the area you were last spotted, eventually the authorities are going to be too stretched thin to keep searching wider and wider areas. Harder to do nowadays if you get a chopper on you or coordinated searches with radios where they can say "last spotted heading down xxxx street, red sedan" etc.
Oh and it's great how he mentioned L.A. Noire. Imagine if they made a sequal to L.A. Noire with the RDR2 engine, or maybe a prequel set in 1920's Chicago.

One thing though about Pinkertons, is that they will stoop to any level to eliminate a threat no matter how big or small. Then years later they finally regulated and stopped that level of horror pinkertons brought.
What levels do the Pinkertons stoop to, hm? If you're talking the real Pinkertons, they didn't bring any horror. The PDA is actually a critical piece of Law Enforcement in our History as they inspired many services and systems we have today such as the FBI, Secret Service & the Criminal Database and Mugshot. Of course, there's always going to be bad or corrupt people within these organizations but most Agents were duty bound and did their job well. As for RDR2, Milton gave the Gang two chances to comply and when they undermined Milton and his deals, he punished all of them by killing Hosea for all the turmoil they caused. As Milton says: "I showed you mercy, you mistook it for weakness, now I will show you strength and you may mistake it for brutality." He was right and they took a less peaceful approach to the Gang knowing they would never be tamed and be reasoned with. The Pinkertons did nothing wrong.
Hey Chris I'm sure it's beneficial to practice being the criminal in games to give you a perspective of how the criminals irl think and what drives the decisions they make to get away
By the way, he was just like scaring him to tell him to go faster with opening it, so it isn’t actually a part of the game to shoot metal safe or something

But somehow his plan always involved an even bigger score, which goes tits up like the one before it and the one before that, turning into yet another massacre, which brings on the heat even more... And his solution to that was always, "more noise!". I was never clear on how that was supposed to help, even in theory.
2:46 in RDR2 the max you can carry is 2 pistols and two larger weapons, like 1 shotgun and 1 rifle, or 2 rifles, or 2 shotguns. so 4 in total. And you do see your character carrying those weapons.
In fairness, it’s closer to the 20th century than it is the 19th century in this game. The frontier period ended in 1890, so this game is set in modern America. They had telegraph lines and telephones.

Yes you have to pay. But it’s probably less to pay for your horse than to loose the wagon.

This guy is actually very well aware of game mechanics, which is badass. he can see what is game mechanics and what is story
