Tom Morello is someone who people need to listen to more. He is to me, one of the most interesting people in the world, is highly intelligent, and someone who I would love to sit down and have a conversation with over a beer or a coffee

Bear Newman interesting? First off, he is a hypocrite. He is one of the people that Rage and he outside of Rage tells us little people that are evil. He’s rich. He then comes back with his band and charge prices that only rich people can afford, and if a regular guy buys, is felt in the pocket book. He then preaches to us normal folk to tell us who to vote for and what needs to be done in this awful horrible (his opinion) country, yet he has his privileged life because of it.
Bear it's so easy to dismiss comments of people LITERALLY CALLING TOM A HYPOCRITE AFTER WATCHING A VIDEO TITLED "TOM MORELLO IN CONVERSATION" Normally I'd be angered and defensive but it's too hilarious! I hate root beer so I don't spend much time reading the ingredients of it🤣
Anyway, I agree with you 100%. Always loved him but when their show got canceled this year I went digging to get my fix and learned so much about him and it's all brilliant. The layers to this man intellectually and musically are profound. 🤘

He uses the power that he's earned with his music to stand with the underdog and address some the evils that need to be addressed in our society. How is that wrong? Democracy is not a spectator sport, the First Amendment is not a museum piece. Morello and Rage are part of what makes America great.

Tom is right. You never hear liberals telling artist to stay out of politics. Its usually the right wing. They benefit the most when you keep silent and the status quo remains unchallenged when they do. God forbid someone uses their power to give those who don't have a voice a platform to speak.

Maybe my favourite guitar player of all time. I remember when I first heard Rage Against the Machine, the menacing sound of the guitar blew my mind. It changed my attitude and my life!

Tom is great I would love to meet him and tell him how he has helped inspire me to help out underdogs in society. He's the reason I picked up a guitar and made it an enjoyable experience for other people who are not so fortunate.

I love Tom Morello, but he's from Libertyville, IL next to Lake Forest. It is a wealthy, upper-middle class enclave near Chicago. He is not from "small town" USA, so I'm not sure why he is saying that, and it certainly is not working class, it isn't where meth-heads only have options to join the military. It definitely leans Republican there though.

He grew up there many decades ago. Were you familiar with that area during the same time he was growing up? If not, you have no idea what you're talking about. Plus, even in rich towns there are pockets of poor people.
He never said he grew up poor. You are putting actual words in his mouth. I grew up in a town called Moorpark that was a dot on the map in the early 80's, we had one restaurant, one 7-11 and got a Kmart right before I moved in the 90's. No mall, no movie theater, no cvs pharmacy, nothing at all. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that I was very limited in choice of occupation there.
To the other person needing education on reality, I have tickets to the 2020 tour now postponed. My ticket was nowhere NEAR hundreds of dollars. HOWEVER, they charged 200-300 for the floor seats and it's donated to CHARITY! Does it feel empowering to say things false in hopes to convince others? Oh and there's this thing called labor, flights, marketing etc. involved with touring but I'm sure they're hiring volunteers for the entire tour and pocketing the money. Quality comments guys.
