T2 vs. SEIKEL T6 - Bulli 4x4 for ever!

Der erste Allrad-Bulli war ein T2 aus dem Jahre 1978. Wir erhielten die Genehmigung, den sonst im Volkswagen-Museum gehüteten Prototypen in einer Vergleichsfahrt mit einem 40 Jahre jüngeren Volkswagen T6 4MOTION im Gelände zu testen. Is the t2 4x4? Sure I saw wheel spin at the front?!

Yes, it one of 5 prototypes created by Gustav Mayer. But I was a littlebit confused, because I thought, that all prototypes had their exhaust pipe through the rear bumper. The reason for this is, that between the gear box and the motor is a trilock from the beetle and it cost 5cm as Mr. Mayer told me in the year 2000.

Wie wäre es denn T3 (16 zoll) ,der ist ganzes stück noch höher! Die neuen T6 oder T6,1 sind viel zu teuer und haben glaube ich nicht mal einen Leiterrahmen :(
