This is one thing that Premiere Pro does extremely well with their essential graphics panel. Resolve needs to have this feature built in with no plugins.

This is another great video, William! As always, very clear and concise instructions. And the bullet list plugin is awesome! I just downloaded it and made a contribution... well worth it. I plan to use it for a video and will send you a link when it's done.
You and MrAlex Tech are two of the best TH-cam channels out there. So, yeah, if you make a video on how to use his Magic Animate to animate bullets and text, I think that would be great.

But if I only need 4 bullets list, how can I do it.
This plug doesn't work on my computer only a black screen appears. I have Davinci Resolve 18

Right now it is set for 8.. its possible to add more but would take some customization of the fusion animation.

For the text outline.. are you referring the the "Bullet List" text in the upper right? I have not made a video about that yet but if you are interested, I can make a video about how i set it up.
@William Justice sorry the late reply. I was with a lot of things here busiyng my head haha. I'm rescuing lots of stray cats/dogs recently Yes, the upper right ( animated outline stroke). I would love to learn how to do that. Thank you very much Willliam. Again, sorry my delay in answering.
This is almost excellent -however, on my system (and from other posters same issue) my screen goes blank. Resetting the font half fixes it and the graphics show but still no video -just a black screen with bullets. Ideas?
Thank you very much for the plugin, much appreciated and useful! I do have a question, though: if you need a second line of text within the same bullet point, the only way to do so is to use the next list item as if it were the second line of text, and tweak a few settings within fusion (remove the bullet point graphic, change the text position to adjust the line spacing etc.), right? Or am I missing something? ✨🙌✨
right now it only supports one line per bullet but I am looking at making an adjustment to support more lines

Thanks for your job William. I already download it but my question is: how to add or delete lines once we add it to the timeline. I mean if we just need 4 lines or we need 12 lines, how can we modify it?. Thanks man!

Simply delete the texts for the lines you don't need
Hi Bill, I love your stuff! But.... the Animated Bullet List doesn't work when I install it. I am running the latest Resolve 18.1.4 studio version. When I drop the plugin on an image, the image goes black. I have re-started Resolve. All your other plugins work fine. Any ideas?
Make sure you change the bullet list font to one install on your pc.
trying to use this plugin in 18.5 I just get a black screen when I select the effect
Really appreciate your tutorial and offering the plugin for free! it started out working just fine and then my playback screen turned black where I had the effect in my timeline. Since it had been working, I assumed it was just a rendering lag. So tried to render my entire video and the render failed when it reached the effect. Admittedly, though I use a macbook pro m1, Davinci Resolve starts to freeze when my projects get too big and I generally don't use any Fusion functions. Perhaps it's just that I don't have enough RAM? Has anyone ever gotten in contact with this issue?

Hello, I downloaded this but whenever I apply it to an image, I just get a black screen instead of text. Any ideas how to fix?
FIXED: Sometimes you have to change the font to "reset" it, so that it shows up. Looks great now!

How do I remove the black screen in the background?
Can we also use this to create numbered lists?
it does not automatically do numbered lists.. but with a few adjustments it would work. I have added this to my list of video ideas.
Absolute fail at first hurdle for me. I'm sre it's something im doing but im following instruction. place image, attempt to place effect directly on image in timeline. In this video it just goes right on in there and makes a list. for me it does noting but cover over the image in the timeline. EDIT: OK, i WAS an idiot, i was taking it from titles not effects, but now with the effects list they do combine, but give me nothing but a black screen. if i had hair it wold be torn out by now
When i drag the effect on the image it just turns balck, its so frustrating
does it work on Davinci 17 Studio? I failed it on Davinci 17 Stu
I think it might work but have only test it on the Resolve 18.
I don't know why, but it's just not working in my case :( Dragging and dropping the efect on some png, jpg or a video and just a black screen apears and nothing is really happening, the black screen covers anything thats underneath
edit: Using 18.5 of Resolve, maybe that's causing some problems?

Have you tried changing the font? Missing fonts can cause black screens in Resolve. I'm using 18.5 and it works fine

The timing is not working. It always says 0 no matter how much I go back and forth, play, pause, select, desselect, etc
what version of resolve are you using? before adding the bullet list effect, try right clicking on the bullet image..choose new fusion composition. then add the effect….thst might fix the issue
@@WilliamJusticeMedia Hey, tysm for being so nice and replying so quick! I'm using 18 on some beta. I know I could be more recent, heh. Anyway, I found out I had another plugin of yours for a bullet list without the pngs, which I preferred and worked flawlessly. So, is that ok with you if I just forget about this bug? It's probably just the fact that I'm not on the latest version =)
Doesn't work in 18.5. Black Screen of Doom.
Same conclusion for me. Too bad, it was handy. Have you found an alternative?
