For the next oval track Crown Vic race, it would be cool to have LEDs on each car that change color to indicate if the car is on the lead lap.
Maybe all cars on the lead lap will be lit up green, one lap back will be yellow, all others will be red.
Each car should have a light on the front, the roof, and the back. Then instruct everyone to do their best not to interfere with cars that are on laps ahead of them. Just a thought.

@@jesseheise7579 motors usually get a refresh every 12 months so anything damaged gets replaced, cheaper that way,, engine failures are rare surprisingly

Had no idea until I heard of Summer Nats, and gained a lot of respect for those maniacs. The drag race is our thing but it's really cool to see them do something better than anyone. I was also stunned at how many of them pay serious respect to car interiors. I guess that's the downside with drag cars, you gotta save weight. They can build toys and show cars in one.

There isn’t enough words to describe how damn cool that car is. I mean not even just the engine and blower combo but how the interior is and the seats and the fact it’s an old school car I definitely love it. Definitely the most expensive leaf blower/street sweeper I ever seen.

FYI - AU and US power is on a different voltage and frequency. be careful with any adapters. make sure it can support the US 120v 60hz as well as the AU 230v 50hz

If its a heater 60hz won't bother it but they will have to make a adapter for the 220 welder receptacle
In the US most large appliances run on 240 so they will just have to use a 240 volt outlet.
Heaters shouldn't care about frequency, so our 240v should work just fine to operate the oil heaters.

Cleetus, check the output of that generator before you make an adapter to plug into the wall. Australia runs on 220 at 50hz. I'm assuming you're running a heater for the oil so in that case it probably doesn't matter, but check to be sure.
Voltage will matter, The hertz is ok except for clocks and lights. Clocks lose time, and the flicker of some lights can cause issues.
@@ljacota the frequency matters when it comes to motors. If it's designed for 50 hz and run on 60hz it will run 20% faster. Can cause overheating of the stator among other things.
Safer to just use their gen - otherwise have to swap oil heater to 110v... (gay!) Keep it 240, use the gen 👍

@@fortheloveofcake93 Years ago I was acquainted with an engine builder that built engines for Bobby Labontes team in NASCAR. He had a Jeep that had a straight up Cup car engine in it built from spare/test parts. It was SUPER sketchy on that short wheelbase.
