Mamamoo's Killing Voice has the ultimate rewatchability. You will pick up on a different nuance every time through. The harmonies, the playfully effortless timing, the flows into and out of MoonByul's raps, it's insane how good they are at their craft. Thanks for the reactions. It was fun watching you slowly warm up to them. When I saw how your eyebrows scrunched together during I Miss You, I knew they had won you over. 😄
I Miss You is one of their vocal masterpieces. You don't often hear kpop groups incorporating gospel style singing in their music and Mamamoo is probably one of the few who could pull it off successfully. The Killing Voice medley is just a small sample of their songs between 2014 and 2020 when the video was filmed. They have an extensive and extremely diverse discography and are considered to be the vocal gold standard among kpop girl groups. They've released over a dozen albums as a group and another dozen or so as soloists or a subunit and there are hundreds of hours of terrific live performances available on yt. They're even better live than on record because of their always live world class vocals, charismatic stage presence and bff team chemistry. Yeah, I'm pretty sure your mom would like the first song, Mr Ambiguous. It was written for Quincy Jones by the co-CEO of Mamamoo's agency RBW, who is a well known songwriter, and the girls performed it for Quincy when he was in Seoul for a concert while they were still trainees. QJ decided not to use the song so it was given to Mamamoo as their debut single. Mamamoo's first couple of albums are called their Retro Era because many of the songs were a mix of jazz, swing and 60's soul. Funny you mentioned Tina Turner and Whitney Houston. When Mamamoo were rookies they backed up a well known singer on a live version of Proud Mary and Solar's audition piece for RBW was Whitney's I Will Always Love You. Solar was 2nd from the left - she's Mamamoo's leader and eldest member. The song title was on the top line with the album and year of release underneath. The song you called Yellow Flower is actually called Starry Night. If you had turned on subtitles you probably would have picked up on the song titles that were written in Korean, besides understanding their jokes and what the songs were about. Hope you check out more Mamamoo, one of the most fascinating and talented groups in Korea. 😂
I always wondered how many planets had to be aligned for the members of Mamamoo meet and be accepted by RBW, RBW must have seen something when you think of all the other companies that rejected them. I'm just feeling lucky to have found them when i did, first six months when they were invited to immortal songs 2 .
@@Kreigmstr Us Moomoos are very dedicated to searching for reactions to Mamamoo on a daily basis. Kudgeond has a way with words that is so eloquent and very informative, just like Mamamoo have a way with their vocals. Both are top tier. 😊
If you get a chance, check out their performance of I Miss You from Queendom. It's also live and is amazing. There is a version where it shows their competitors reacting as they perform too. IMO, Mamamoo has been the best TH-cam rabbit hole. I went from a mild interest in K-Pop to a fan because of them.
All of them have a very successful solo career as well check out their stuff. The ones you should check out are Solar, Spit it out Moonbyul, Eclipse Wheein, Easy Hwasa, Maria.
We can all thank solar for pitching and saying she wanted to do the killing part despite being a vocalists, which Eventually, dingo music called the new seiries "killing voice" which is what we see now where vocalists showcase their skill, and Mamamoo where their first guest. They are also one of the most credited gg on KOMCA and are about 80 to 90% involved in their music and choreography.
yes they are the kpop group vocal live performance... in kbs world and mbc melon music. they compete with some other kpop group and singer. all they live song are so amazing...
Thank you for the K-pop reaction. If you haven't heard Dreamcatcher's songs yet, please react. I recommend Dreamcatcher’s Scream. This song is about hate messages and cyberbullying.

"incorporating gospel style singing" - please look for "Big Mama". As Mamamoo they are also top tier class vocalists.
@@GR-M3 Big Mama are great singers. They're the only other girl group that came to mind who could do I Miss You so soulfully.
