Courtney is a good singer but Tatiana definitely has more balls to her sound. They have to mix Courtney's voice UP into mixes, they have the reign Tatiana's voice DOWN into mixes

There are a few female metal and rock singers that can do both and do it well but Tatiana has a lot of power behind her voice that most vocalists don't have. She is a former smoker which is a wild because if I had to guess, she has Olympic athlete level lung capacity and breath control

The family: the Kardashians The greed: could still refer to them or the former label rep that sold her masters because she wouldn’t resign with them The Chorus line: Kanye released a gospel album and even started a church at one point Blood’s thick but nothing like a payroll: could refer to the Kardashians being greedy and turning on each other for money but also her her former label. She signed with Scott Borchetta when she was 15; she was the first person signed to the label, basically starting the label. She wasn’t given the chance to buy her masters outright, she would be able to buy one for every new one she put out, so she would never own her work. Scott was there from the beginning and promised to be different from all other execs and ended up turning on her and sold her masters as a fuck you to Taylor because she wouldn’t do what he wanted. And he sold them to someone who had bullied Taylor for years. Also, it’s true that money makes the world turn and people in general will betray you if they can make money off you by doing so. Triple entendre and I’m sure we can find more 🤯 This is why we go so hard for Taylor; she’s inspiring for turning heartbreak and betrayal into success but also for writing stories we all can relate to.

She goes on to mention the “Christian Chorus Line” which is a reference to Kanye’s “religious “ awakening. How long did that last? Sheesh..

Thank you for reaction & discovering the genius that IS Dr. Taylor Alison Swift (she has an honorary doctorate from NYU)!! Lots of people, and many still, have been sleeping on Taylor for the longest for whatever reasons they want to give; however, those of us who’ve known her since her self-titled debut album released in 2006 can tell you that she’s first & foremost a songwriter to the core, and paints a picture with every lyric realized. Her pen game is unparalleled and her bars are fire!! The rapper Knox Hill describes Taylor as “a battle rapper with a guitar” but her true artistry is how relatable she is because we have all experienced in one way or another what she has and sings about. I recommend reacting to “Tolerate It” from her Evernore album (2020). It’s Track 5, and as we Swifties know- and stated by Taylor herself- all of Taylor’s Track 5’s on each of her albums are her most vulnerable. Looking forward to seeing you deep-diving into Taylor’s vast discography. I promise, the rabbit hole will have you experiencing every feeling across the spectrum (Savage Taylor is my favorite) but it will be quite the journey…and worth it!! Cheers! ~ Wolfie

Taylor's music has evolved over time. At this point in her career she has the freedom to no longer worry about writing songs for the masses. Songs that are more contemporary and fit the typical pattern. She's now able to fully write songs that she wants to write and do it in a way that she wants. And yet, there's still an audience for it. If you listen to all her albums, you'll see the evolution of it over time.

Thank you for this one, H.I.M.! I really love Pisces. Jinjer is my favorite band and I never got into Spiritbox, but for me it's not about who can do the wildest growls or the most impressive cleans, but what sounds good and again, for me, Jinjer just has everything: the wonderful haunting chords in their compositions, complexity mixed with groove, heaviness mixed with chill, beautiful clean vocals mixed with beautiful growls and most importantly, for me, powerful, meaningful lyrics. This made me think how clever she was to apply a story to tell her own. This song could apply to the music industry & celebrity pop culture. For example- she straddled physical & digital eras in music. She warned people about the pitfalls of streaming to the music industry. It is happening in other industries also- like tv/film. She has managed to adapt- but I'm sure it's disappointing to see how it harms other artists, the art of music and all those impacted.

You will find that Taylor has a lot of bars in her songs, too.

This is not a truly live performance, per se. There is significant vocal post-processing in this performance. Doubling/harmonies in some of the cleans and some vocal doubling in the harsh vocals that make them sound like two people are growling at once if you listen closely enough. That being said, I have seen the band live and have watched their true live videos countless times. Tati is indeed a world class singer. The hype is real. As great as her growls and screams are, it's her cleans that seal the deal. She has a lot of texture, velvet, great tone, playfulness, a stinging ang sultry vibrato and is a good mixed belter. This song only covers one facet of her. The band is the same.....the entire package is multifaceted and very talented. Tati is very much the undisputed Queen of Metal and sometimes I think she's the best singer in metal right now and the band is the best in metal. Finally, Tati is a helluva of a frontman on stage. JINJER - Perennial (Live At Wacken Open Air 2019) is a good next stop. JINJER - Pit of Consciousness (Live In Kiev) is Jinjer at their darkest. JINJER - Sit, Stay, Rollover (Live In Melbourne) is Jinjer as their most brutal brutal. JINJER - I Soeak Astronomy Live From Hellfest @ Home is another good proggy one to compliment the Vortex video you did. That's just three of many you could do. Cheers and thanks.

The Cassandra story from Greek mythology is such a powerful metaphor (she was cursed to see the future but never be believed), used beautifully here to send out a warning about a lot more than the Kardashians - though they’re a symptom. It really seems to be much broader social commentary on the dangers of disinformation in everything from media to politics - something Taylor alludes to in the voice memo for this track. Snakes also feature in the original Cassandra myth. Hoping for a mashup of this and Madwoman in the surprise song set on the Eras Tour.

And the thing I don’t get why why did they do that to her? She was a kid she never did nothing to them.
