      It is while you get used to it, some people have a hard time with this, but the trick is to practice a lot because I couldn't draw as well as in real life, but eventually felt natural.

      I was curious so I used my display tablet to register the pen on my bigger monitor... and well... it’s not hard at all it’s just a lil confusing.( I’ve used a pen tablet before for a whole 2 semesters ) Lets say a pen tablet requires more time to finish a project rather than a display tablet which is ya know better in some ways oh I use the xp pen artist 13.3 pro I won it at a raffle literally 3 days ago lol up until then I was using a Wacom pen tablet from like 2018 or so I don’t remember.

      Alfonso Gutiérrez that sounds great! It took me half a year to master the pen pressure and hand eye coordination for smaller details and curves lines.

    • @razrv3lc
      @razrv3lc 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah it’s not hard. There’s just a learning curve, like there is with any new tool. It wasn’t that hard to learn it but once I did, it was SO much better than anything else.

    I was always using the small version and seemed just fine. This looks very good. I have tried this model in medium size but I think if working on MacBook Pro screen the small is better.

    I bought the Intuos Pro Medium from 2017, and while it's great, I ultimately decided it wasn't worth it to upgrade from the 2013 model that I also own. I thought the bluetooth and the smaller footprint of the tablet would be worth it, but when I went back to the older one just to see how it felt after using the new one, I discovered there was NO drop off in the user experience for me. So I'm returning it to stick with the 2013 model. I would however, recommend the newer one to anybody looking to get a drawing tablet.

      @briantium 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Andree89 In my opinion, absolutely, especially since you can find them for about $80 on eBay right now. There are third party brands that sell theirs brand new in that range, which isn't bad, but the Wacoms have the touch feature (if that's important to you; I like having it) and wireless (which the third party brands don't have at that range, usually).

    My first tablet was a Wacom Intuos Pro Small (Pen and Touch) actually. I had it for 3 and a half years. But tbh it shouldve lasted a little longer, but i drew on it constantly everyday so ofc it wore down quicker (and younger me dropped it a lot so lesson learned .
    My new current one is the updated XP-PEN DECO Pro Tablet now. it's not like that but bigger Working area 11*6 inches . Still i highly reccommend you get it.

    Ok so I’m a beginner who has never done any type of digital art and my parents don’t know I like to draw and I’m sort of confused at all the technology here but I’m wondering is this a good tablet for me? I am wondering if I can persuade my parents to get it for me for my 12th birthday. If I can figure out how to use it and do my research (which I have done a lot already) I’m hoping that it will work out and I can grow in my art :)

    • @TrinhStudios
      @TrinhStudios 4 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      You can get away with the cheaper wacom intuos models. They are very good and the only thing they lack compared to the pro line up is the express key buttons and that the pen looks a bit less "pro".
      I have to say that if you are a beginner you won't notice the difference. The pro is for advanced users who can appreciate the small nifty additions. It won't make you draw better, they draw the same. In that case I recommend getting the cheaper option and spend the remaining money on something else, like maybe books on art topics you want to learn.

      Mylifedoll435 1 get the Wacom One or bamboo fun or a huion. I’m a pro concept artist working on triple a games and I have been using a 25 dollar used Wacom from like 2001 for two years now. My 350 dollar Intuos medium pro broke after 2 years. Honestly these things all do the same stuff. You don’t need an expensive one.

    • @WazigeLogica
      @WazigeLogica 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello @Mylifedoll435 1 , I have had the "Wacom Bamboo" and have used it in combination with GIMP (free image editor) for years. You can really make awesome creations using these tools. I usually start of by drawing something on paper first, take a picture or make a scan of it for my PC and later finnish the image digitally with GIMP and Bamboo. So if your parents can't afford or for what ever reason will not buy this pro version for you, which is very expensive and I wouldn't blame them for it if they don't.. Really you can learn and make awesome stuff with Bamboo, no problem at all!
      I mean, I'm 42 and have my own income and it is not cheap. I am trying to get one secondhand.

    Thank you for this helpful review! My parents bought me my first drawing tablet, the Wacom bamboo tablet (CTH-470) nearly a decade ago when it first came out. It still works great but is definitely a little beat up and antiquated. I’m thinking about upgrading and buying myself the Intuos Pro. Now I just can’t decide between the small or the medium 😖 the pro small is about the size of my bamboo and I’ve never had a problem but I am curious about a larger size.

      It depends a lot on does it bother you to draw on a second surface which is what you would do with a intuos. With iPad though, you would also need to buy the pen for it, which would add extra cost to the whole package. In case of buying an Intuos, you wouldn't really need to buy anything more if you already had a computer.

I'd say the intuos is better since its a bit cheaper and it comes with bundled software(please note that its a trial so it should expire after a few months) so it gives you decent value for the money spent.

    Hi, I also love the Wacom Intuos Pro :)
    But I have a problem with the “R” (rotation tool). Every time I tap R on my keyboard the Wacom Pen doesn’t work, and it’s impossible to switch tools, to use ellipse/selection or any other tool.
    I have to restart the program and just avoid to use the “rotation tool” with the Wacom pen. I didn’t have such problem using the mouse... anyone could suggest a solution?
    Ps. Similar problem with the Reflect tool “O”, it looks like the Wacom pen doesn’t want to “let go” the cursor so that I can’t make the rotation or the reflection :(

    As a long time digital artist I can tell you, you won't use any of the buttons and you never notice the thousands of levels of pressure sensitivity. I draw professionally on a XP-Pen Deco 01 10x6.25 inches and it is great, they are like $60 used and they last forever. Try and get one with some spare nibs if you can.

      I use the buttons, in fact I'm trying to upgrade to this from the bamboo pen and touch because I'm tired of using my keyboard plus the buttons for my frequently used functions (it only has 4), really excited that the M&L of this has 12 options. I use the tablet placed Infront of the pc making the buttons easy to use, if I placed it on the right like in the video, my wrists hurt and it's a hassle using the buttons with the same hand I use to draw

    i feel like i wont be able to make a free vertical stroke before i will run out of active area on the tablet. I don't see the point of such a weird dimension. 6 by 3 inches only? At least 6 by 4 would have been smarter.... I don't understand. Its like they are discouraging you to buy the small one.

    • @DragonlordSVS
      @DragonlordSVS 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      First of all afaik you can set the sensitivity/speed in a similar way as your mouse. Then if thats not working for you, you can get a larger models (3 sizes). Finally... where in the name of the holy furballs did you get the 6 by 3 inches active area?....
      Here let me help you (from Wacom itself):
      [ (6.3 in) x (3.9 in) ] of active area for the smallest one...
      ...which means that it is about 6:3.715 ratio, VERY close to your 3:2 (6x4) ratio and actually better than yours for the fact that it maps (very slightly) better to the vast majority of monitors (most are 16:9 due to being HD variations, a few are 16:10, for these wacom's ratio works better, while only a very few -mostly tablets- are 3:2, some 3:4 still exist too btw where your proposed ratio would work better than wacom's but either way it has no real difference since they are almost the same).
