- Hatching A Quail Egg From The Grocery Store
🦆
Quail eggs hatch in just 21 days. If you try this at home, ensure you understand the responsibilities of raising a quail, and ensure to check your local city laws to ensure you are legally allowed to own a quail as a pet.
First comes the egg placement in the incubator. The incubator creates an environment that mimics the conditions necessary for successful egg development. Temp set to 100 degrees f, and humidity between 60-70%, automatically turning the eggs daily.
Next, comes waiting three days for the embryo to develop. You can use a flashlight to see if the embryo is beginning to form or not. The intricate structures and organs gradually take shape as the egg incubation progresses. Vital processes, such as cell division and differentiation, occur within the protective shell.
Approximately 16 to 18 days into incubation, a significant milestone occurs-the pip stage. The quail chick inside the egg uses its beak to peck at the shell, creating a small crack or "pip." This marks the beginning of the hatching process.
Over the next 24 to 48 hours, the quail chick continues to chip away at the shell, gradually enlarging the pip.
Let’s see if our grocery store quail eggies have what it takes to hatch!
Come back for updates 💚🌱

Some supermarket eggs are fertilised so they will hatch. Otherwise you will just have a really nice omelet
362 likes and no comment lme change that
In my country, they have strict regulations so only unfertilized eggs are sold
Correction- a perfect hard boiled egg
How can we recognize if those are fertilized? So it's like a 50 50 chance?
If the supplier of the eggs can’t meet the demand for eggs they will do a lil sneaky and grabs eggs from the male AND female enclosure instead of eggs from the female included so then they can meet the demand and if your dedicated you can make a chick from a lil egg
After a few days, you can always try flashing a flashlight through them to see if anything developed. I don't think they're going to hatch, but you never know. Good luck. 😊
you bet!! i have my mini flashlight ready to go and i’m going to check in a couple days. i also don’t have high hopes they’ll hatch, but males often get mixed with females and so you never know - one may be fertile. if not, i’ll purchase fertile eggs from my local farmer 🥰
@@growithjessie Nice! 👍
@growithjessie YOU PUT THE EGGS IN WRONG they should be standing in the circles with the bottom side up
I don't think store eggs are fertilized, so they won't hatch.
SO WHAT HAPPENED???????❤
If those are coturnix quail eggs they hatch in 16 to 18 days. And double check any progress on development on day 5 before you remove them from the incubator
I tried the same thing 1 year ago, now I have an adult grocery store quail in my yard, but it actually took 41 days to hatch
What I hatch them all the time it usually takes 15 to 18 days that crazy
@@im_theONEandONLYnell don’t know why but it’s true
@@indoplants7040 no I believe you sometimes after refrigerated that can happen
@@indoplants7040 what type are they
@@im_theONEandONLYnell oh, interesting
Why isn’t anyone talking about the GROW at the end?
She started crying💀 in the middle when she said they were going to start to grow💀
i feel like this channel is a social experiment at this point
hahahhahahahahaha
GROW
That growl saying grow 💀💀💀💀💀💀
That freaked me out!
@@Minmiumewme too😅
This is the same vibe as me stealing a chicken egg from the kitchen and sleeping with it under my pillow. No girl they are not gonna hatch lmfao.
There is a possibility they will! and if these don’t hatch, i’m going to get fertile eggs from my local farm :))
if the eggs were fertile they wouldn't sell them at the store sorry 😅 there's a whole process and everything you should look into it it's really interesting edit I wanted to go into more detail cuz this is really interesting so if there's no male it's 100 not going to be fertile they're just going to lay un fertile eggs after their cycle a
Some supermarkets do sell fertile eggs so it is a bit hit and miss
@@Chaos_Senpai you may be right but it will have to say fertilized egg on it
@@material_Phoenix I tried the same thing; and a quail hatched, there wasn’t written that they were fertile, so now I don’t eat them anymore
@@indoplants7040 that is literally impossible without injection of sperm in the egg do you work in a lab?
@@indoplants7040 also it is extremely illegal to sell fertilized eggs if it isn't marketed as such
I was wondering when your updating..
“How were you born?”
“ oh just science”
Curious how are the humming bird moths coming along it been a while since you dome another update!
We need an update!
Note: Not trying to be mean I'm just excited
Yesss pls
If you got them from the freezer section they are probably not going to hatch
I was with you when you had like 0 subscribers I came back to check hopefully soon you’ll get 1 million girl every few days I checked on you my iPad broke and I came back to check you have so many subs hopefully soon I’ll be like you
I'm excited to see if they hatch!! Now I want to do this 😂
The fact that i have quails!
Supermarkets sell fertilized quail eggs?? Or are you just desperate for clout?
Sometimes they do they normally only sell girl quail eggs so they can't get fertilised however sometimes they have to put in male eggs that are in fact fertilised since people like to buy quail eggs the demand is high so the need to hope this helped
A friend of mind hatched 5 store bought chicken eggs but they all died after a week or two. A farmer then told him it’s because of all the medicines they give the chickens in those farms 😢
The ending XD
I wish you luck on hatching ‘em
I have ten quails they are absolutely cute
15 to 18 days...
Who else is waiteing for the moth update
The bilingual labels on the container. Gotta love Canada!
Why, no updates?
She's growing animals now...
WHAT NEXT?!
ALIENS!?!? 👽
3 days may not be enough time to view if they are really gonna grow, somw start slower. But the likelihood is pretty slim on fertility since some places try not to have any males mixed in and the eggs are older since they have to deal with packaging, shipping, and selling. The drop-off for fertility on eggs drops pretty steeply after a week iirc.
Duck emoji 😂😂😂
Where are you going to keep the quails after they are born? That's always my biggest concern when someone decides to hatch these eggs.
I'm so glad I'm early. Love your videos!
Today I grew Quails from seeds.
Grocery store eggs are rarely fertilized, but I’m excited to see if they are! But quail eggs are pretty tasty in ramen, rice, and as a garnish on other dishes like chicken Alfredo. Good luck bestie
What was that GROW at the end
If this works, I’ll do it myself too!
That ssssssssss is very hilarious
The eggs you find in stores aren't fertilized so they won't hach
There are wayyyy too many people out there who are misled into believing that you can do this _anywhere_ .
No, you can only do this in european countries because the methods used to process the eggs to be made safe for human consumption happens to allow them to be hatched by customers. This is impossible to do in Canada and the USA.
Well it actually takes 14 days on average for a quail egg to hatch . 21 days for a chicken egg and 27 for a duck.
I just got quail eggs and put them into an incubator and they are all growing!
You can make it solid by putting it in hot water for 1 hour i know this because my mom has a store that has quail egg
What store did yo go to
Good luck with the quail seeds... I mean eggs. 😂 GOOD LUCK 🤞 🥚🥚🐣🐣 or 🍳🍳 LUV U 👹
wait… how. do you know if it’s fertile, and what if I’ve been eating fertile eggs like for my entire life
Quail egg tip: don't buy them from supermarket because they will be unfertile from the freezer but if there are a pack with no freezer then yeah
Guys I raised alot of quails so y'all don't gotta hate with the master
I think you'd more luck with duck eggs as apparently duck eggs are sometimes mistaken to have fertilies eggs for some reason
I heard some hatch a duck egg in the fridge. For some reason, the cold didn't stop it
Although you shouldn't hatch eggs in the fridge
It's just a lucky mistake
That's not how supermarkets work...
18 days actually and they can hatch at day 16 day 21 is like the deadline for em very close
Supermarket eggs can sometimes be fertilized however, that is not what you want to go to. You should get eggs from a breeder I would not recommend getting from a store like Vons.
Did I just hear a demon at the end?
This is highly unlikely just click bait
we need up dates
Ain’t no way supermarket eggs are going to hatch
You absolutely can hatch store bought eggs, I have done it, you will have maybe a few out of a dozen, but you definitely can't put them in the incubator cold 😊
@@krystalbake97 cap. Goodbye. Goodnight. Have a wonderful life. Didn’t ask. Toodleloo. Peace.
@@Ninon__Quails specifically are easy to mistake the sex of so males are commonly placed with females, making a low but possible chance of eggs being fertile. It is possible and has happened before
@@peepeemusik8754 I cannot accurately portray to you how upset I am that you really decided to bother me after 2+ months. For this. I hope both sides of your pillow are warm.
We neeed updatessss❤❤❤❤❤
I did the same on my chanle thing and 3 out of 15 hacked my favourite died and others deformed because of the chemicals put in store eggs and hade to give them away 😢 you have to be imoshenaly prepared
Idk what it is but I really love the way your voice sounds 😅🥰
Sounds kinda similar to Harley Quinn in my opinion but I donno

If They Hatch It Will Soooo Cute I Have 11 They Sooo Tiny And So Fast They Like Alarm Button Hehe
So excited
What!? I didn't think grocery store eggs were fertilized!? 😳🫤🤔 Hopefully they are specially marked cause I would have a friggin heart attack, 😳 do you hear me!? 🫢 🤦🏼♀️🙅🏼♀️😂😂😂
You have your take out the putting thinking because if it turns the egg there is a higher chance of dieing
They've been refrigerated no? I don't think anything will happen after that.
It takes 18 days
I have two quail eggs and I don't know where to start or do?
It takes 18
How if they were grocery bought, once under refrigeration I doubt will grow maybe but doubtful, as a farm girl in order for us to sell our eggs we had to put up to a light to make sure they were not fertile.
17-16 days :)
Listen I raised quail you can't do that get them fresh from a farmer
Im not sure about that, if they were cleaned they wont hatch if they were eevee fertile to begin with. Also, its considered to cold especially longer than a week but not unheard of. I would gladly send you somw fertile eggs!
It’s takes 18 days for a quail egg to hatch
What was that sound at the end
it’s takes 18 days for quail 21 for chickens
Part 2 pls!
We need an update pls
So where’s the outcome?
Eggs have to be fertilized. If those are eating eggs, it won't work
Put a thermometer inside it
Old girl grew all the seeds and now shes moving on to eggs
No update??? That’s an odd one
Omg no way I bought quil eggs yesterday and I am doing this
How much was the quail machine cost?
i doubt they are fertilised if they are allowed to be sold
Takes 17 days and 21 for chickens.
It takes 16 to 18 days to hatch a quail egg. It takes 21 days to hatch a hens egg. I'm sad that you didn't do your research first.
Eh wrong. It's 16-17 days to hatch a quail eggs
They don't sell quail eggs here... but usually, they don't sell fertilized eggs at grocery stores... who knows, it might happen🤷🏻♀️
Make sure that tomorrow you sign the light like a flashlight on the egg so you can see if it's going to survive is it has veins like in the egg it's going to survive we'll probably see like your little qoiles moving around in the eggs
Wheres the updateee??
Can you make an update please
Wouldnt they be refridgerated and die from the cold in the grocery store?
Just saying umm you could put it on the bowl with water and if it sink there's something gonna create there and if not... Theres nothing
It takes 18 days for them to hatch
Unless those are fertile they won’t hatch… And I doubt a grocery store would sell fertile eggs
Where's part 2 🐩
Can you please link the incubator in the comments because I’d really like to buy it😊
I found it online it the triocottage incubator 12
GIVE UPDATES!
Quails are birds
I need a update❤❤❤
It take 16 to 18 days
