Chris Sanders: “I thought, well, what if we redeem a villain? At the very core and base of Lilo + Stitch is the idea of a villain becoming the hero. So Stitch changes throughout the film, and he changes the world around him. There’s this family that is on the brink of falling apart, and he accelerates that, and then he ultimately saves it.” Me: *GOOSEBUMPS*
Wow this was a wonderfully calm and intense dropping of story knowledge. Those 10 story steps will be a GREAT checklist for me moving forward. Thank you Chris and Bobby!
Great talk, if more writers/directors had his mindset we'd have a lot more good movies. Have a message, sure..but you gotta make the story compelling, sadly missing from a lot of story telling these days.

Cheers , Chris.

It is really amazing to hear him talk shop. So many knowledge bombs!
This is my favorite explanation for "trust the process"
Always enjoy hearing the behind the scenes process and thoughts from creators.

It's hard to believe that Stitch's voice comes out of his mouth
