      I don't use laser GRBL, so have never tried this there.

      Not suggested. Those are made from vinyl, which will release chlorine gas under a laser

    How did you make your laser assist?

      3D printed. This was back before kits were available for the xTool D1. The laser shown here is one of the first that xTool put out. My other xTool D1 is quite a bit newer and came with the air assist kit. Here is how this one was modified: th-cam.com/video/7wj5HVd6ZEU/w-d-xo.html

      Nothing. Just made sure it was clean.

      He had the mirror flipped so the laser was hitting the manufacture coating.
